Michael Jackson-Kerr DB from Alabama committed-unconfirmed

Matt Porter ‏@mattyports 30s30 seconds ago

Have seen several reports three-star DB Michael Jackson (Spain Park, Ala.) committed to Miami. No indication UM accepted that commitment.

We seem to have a communication problem with a lot of these recruits.

Yes let's stay in sofla and get those 5 star cb's just like Tracy Howard...O wait he is having a terrible yr, can't tackle and even when playing man (his specialty according to all the sofla stud scouts around here) he has been dominated. He got abused by either Famu or Ark st I forget which game it was.

Also need to take into account that some of the kids in sofla have terrible grades or trouble issues ie. Cole. I am not slurping on Golden's **** but some of you guys just want to **** about anything possible. As someone else stated our two most consistent corners this year have been Elder and Gunter. Both from out of state and less highly ranked then Burns and Howard.

Lastly, although we all know our scheme sucks to put it lightly, doesn't mean that we should try and recruit people that don't fit the scheme we use. Clearly Golden will be back next year and clearly it is his BS scheme that we use, so whether Dorito is back or not we will almost 100% be playing the same scheme. Therefore it makes sense to bring in the type of corners they feel fit the scheme they use.

Played pretty darn good last season. Perhaps the coaching + development blows cack?

Bull****...he was better in his sophomore season than his freshman season.

He's gotten worse in his junior season and you blame that on coaching?

What about Corn? Where's the cry for pitiful development there?

What about Gunter? What about Deon Bush who has made dramatic improvement at the Safety position.

What I THINK happened is that Tracy got to feeling his oats and reading his own press clippings.

Still not sure why anyone is blaming the players on defense?

Corn and Bush, 2 guys you are hyping have a combined 0 INTs.

We have a lot of talent in the secondary, they all looks worse then they should. Lack of pass rush (which is scheme related) and what they are asked to makes them look worse then they should look.

Not disagreeing with you, but that's not what was being discussed.

You said Corn and Bush are developing. I'm saying they still look worse then their talent level, therefore they aren't developing. Carter is playing behind a 5'8" walkon Safety.

The staff says our S lack ball skills, many on here thought Bush would be a CB coming out of HS.

By the way how are larry hope, nate dortch, and vernon davis doing at The U? Considering they were all 3* south florida guys. The same group that says only recruit sofla cb's is the same group that ******* that Ryan Mayes was a bad take too. But yes you guys are all more knowledgable then our coaches.

The 3 first guys you listed were all questionable takes, much like Mayes and this kid. Dortch was the only one that some liked and that was because Butch offered at UNC.

Fair enough, I am just talking about the people on here that don't even watch highlight videos and just ***** that we are taking a 3* alabama kid when we have all these kids in sofla that are better. And all they say is I would rather have a 3* guy from sofla. That's why I used those 3 players as an example because according to there theory those guys are better then any 3* player from outside of Sofla.

You're right, the coaching and the development is perfect.

I'm going with the overlying MAJOR problem till I see proof of the opposite.

Remember, UNC is the real test this week.

Biggest game of Bunchy's tenure next week.

Deflection at it's finest. Exaggerate my point to make it seem like nonsense.

No one was talking about anything besides Tracy Howard's SPECIFIC case.

Try again douchebag

Easy cack smoker, we have a big test this week.

Tim and I are talking about Howard. All of the sudden he sucks after a good year last year. Not sure where you see the deflection. My point is everyone and their mothers would rape and pillage for Howard because he is a stud. All of the sudden he sucks after being a darn good CB last year. I wonder why. You think it is because of reading some clippings, I challenge that and believe our staff is probably a big part of the issue (scheme, development etc.).

Why did I bring up UNC (and your dipchit post) because you're a terrible judge of anything especially reality.

Take Al's balls of your eyes and look at the big picture.

99% of the people on here looked at his offer sheet and the fact that hes not from sfla and just bandwagoned comments like a heard of sheep. You guys know absoluely nothing about this kid yet your bashing him. Funny that fans checking the post board on there lunch break from 9-5 jobs or classes and homework know more than a staff working for years and watching hours of tape and interviews with a kid that attended camp and visited the U. Cue Al Foden/Dorito/Can he play DT/Fly banner/Fire Golden/Butch wouldnt take this kid comments to follow.

It would be wise to avoid this Golden Slurper. The talent looks bad because the staff is bad. We have kids back there that should be beasting but....

Wasn't ed reed a 2/3 star from Louisiana who ran a 4.57? We can't just hate on a dude because Goldens band of misfits recruited him.

Bat Signal just came out.

He is a big strong physical corner that plays aggressive bump and run.

Will not playing time in our scheme. Will be benched by the first game..lol

There's the proverbial Ed Reed mention. Like the swallows to Capistrano this one always come back home to roost whenever we sign some slug.

These are the same porsters who crying when we took a commitment from a QB out of Cali before any Cali schooled had offered him.

Kaaya committed in May that year. That was coming off a junior season where he didn't even begin that season as the starter. He was an unknown.

This guy is smack dab in the middle of SEC country and committed to us in late October.

There are no parallels here. Kaaya was under the radar with half a season to his name. This kid is overlooked cuz he's garbage.

In addition to this, anyone who saw the kaaya tape was estatic about the commit.

Ah yes, the coaches are infallible line shows up. I'm sure you said the same thing during Coker and Shannon's tenure.

Oh, and if you're keeping score, Isiah McKenzie and Skai Moore are two kids that prove yeah, sadly, this board might actually be more knowledgable than these coaches.

Just gonna reserve "slug" judgement until I see him suck on the field.

Similar to being named Peggy Sue...Ya know he's taken crap and must be a tough dude. In time, we'll all find out if he's a good defensive back.
