Miami vs UCF?

We gave up 415 yards to UF and only gained 200. It's safe to say we caught a few breaks in that game.

UCFs D isn't UFs (when healthy) D and thats not up for debate. We would be able to put up more yards on UCF than we did against UF. we forced turnovers in that game. we made our breaks.

I want no part of playing UCF right now, we lose and it possibly legitimizes them as one the big 4 in Florida and likely helps them more in recruiting and their offense would ejaculate all over our defense.

I am a UCF grad and a huge CANES fan, but the way we look on Defense it might not be pretty! I say lets not play UCF, because if they beat us the **** talking from the Knight fans will never stop. One more thing we don't play them again!

We just got beat by Duke. I am not sure there is a bowl team we can beat. Maybe rematch with GT. Maybe Navy--don't the run the same offense? What we need is more teams running Paul Johnsons offense. Apparantly it is the only one AL's defense can slow down. Unless Paul comes up with two new things instead of one--one for both halves. Is the gator bowl eligble?

their QB is legit.. I saw the whole dam game and oh my!! High - NFL prospect IMO.. 6'4-235lbs with a great arm and most importantly, he has great pocket presence.. He threw multiple times on the run while running opposite direction. That boy gets it.

It's better to not play them at this point and let people assume we would beat them rather than play them and confirm what we already know.

I really don't want another loss as embarrassing as the loss to Duke and to be honest, losing to UCF would be worse. It would be like losing to FIU or FAU.

There is an even more interesting Sub Plot to UM vs UCF this season. Both schools have true freshman Runnning Backs from the Metro New York city area that where committed to Syracuse last year One was Gus Edwards the Nations #1 Fullback who ended up with Miami and then there was William Stanback from Uniondale, NY who only had 1 offer which was from SU an with the coaching change that offer went away. The kid was very productive in High School but still no offers after having run for 4000 yds while playing both ways for 4yrs on his varsity team. These tow players are a microcosm of their teams season, UM had a lot of hype this year but like Gus Edwards we have not delivered that knock out blow and have been getting run over instead by lessor teams and players (FSU being the exception).

While UCF and Stanback having been running over teams literally, take UCF vs Rutgers last night he had plays like the one below where he literally ran over the defender. There was one on goal line where the defender met Stanback in the hole at the line of scrimmage and had leverage with good form, but Stanback stopped rest his legs an drove through the defender unlike Gus Edwards who runs out of bounds or tries out run defenders; anything to avoid taking a hit or running under his pads while playing physical. I can only hope Gus Edwards was watching the game last night with the rest of America and will start to run like more Stanback, because it is shameful how Gus has not delivered yet this kid who was supposedly not as good is now shining at UCF. An for the record I think a healthy UM lights UCF's *** on fire in a blow out.

They beat a 1-8 Temple team by a field goal (and should have lost that game)....and now you can state with definite that they'll beat Miami by 20. OK
