I put a lot of blame on coley. AG has taken heat (and rightfully so) for dorito, but the D played good enough to win.

Coley has 2 chances inside 10 and chokes. A reverse? Are you serious? And he never have Kaaya a chance. Granted he looked shook, but there were better ways to spread the ball around and it didn't get done.

Anyone ready to give up on Kaaya should be banned from the boards. True frosh on the road in a blackout. Sure, he didn't play great, but what did you expect? Bet if you look back it was same posters saying to start him and let him take his licks.

The KO return hurt bad. And I don't care what team you are - 2 TOs inside 10 and 3 points on the road and you don't win.

I'm upset we lost but let's keep our heads on straight. We had no business winning this game and still had a chance if some blunders didn't happen.

Dumbf**ks will say Kaaya this Kaaya that. But lets be real here Coaching is our biggest problem hands down. Wanna blame Kaaya? Where was Bush, Kirby, Howard, the O-Line, Coley stopping on 2 routes on third down causing incompletions, and so on? With all this talent no one is making any plays cause the coaches are not putting them in position to. Stop blaming the True Freshman QB.

What if the other team had a freshman qb….oh wait.

Golden is a great potential AD. HC not so much

Nobody wants Golden gone more than I do...but this is probably true.

I've also said repeatedly that a guy like Coley would do better in a higher level position (assistant head coach where he can focus on recruiting).

The fact that Golden is our head coach and a guy like Coley is in charge of calling plays still blows my mind. Both of these guys are totally miscast right now and our administration will likely do nothing.

This coaching staff should be tarred and feathered for what they just did to Brad K. and Braxton B. and Courtrel J.

These cawlksookers are in way over their heads as a coaching staff and are destroying some really good players' careers.

The D gave me hope. But once again they're in the field all game and get 0 help from coley.

Only because he went down on his knees to try to catch it. My point was that bad throw had zero to do w/him being a freshman...zero. I can't stand when people make excuses for players. No excuses on that throw or the 1st INT, they were both bad...bad by a freshman, bad by a senior, bad by ANY college QB, especially the supposed 5th highest rated PP coming out of HS.

You should be banned for taking the focus off of this atrocious mockery of a coaching staff.

They set this team up to fail from "Are you kiddin me!?"

I blamed the coaching (horrendous especially by the OC), but that's irrelevant to my posts ABOUT KAAYA. The 2 throws were bad, plain and simple. Those 2 bad throws had nothing to do w/coaching.

You should be banned for not being able to differentiate when someone is talking about a QB and when someone is talking about coaching.

I've given golden a pass for 3 years. But with our talent our bad play falls directly on him.

UL was not a dominant team tonight. We just made mistakes and that's coaching also.

Being a golden supporter I'm pretty ****ed now.

really don't get people bashing kaaya. you let a true frosh with no college playing experience get hit that many times and you don't expect him to start making bad throws and lose confidence. and seriously wtf is up with that play calling? how many misdirection runs did we call? slow developing run plays are horrible even when you have elite talent. all it does is give the defense time to read and react. coach coley laid an egg. the defense didn't play bad at all but eventually broke from playing too much. even though you can tell we have more talent on defense, you can also tell that coach D'no does not know how to mix it up with the play calls. no clever stunts, no disguising coverages, and not enough man coverage early on in the game. and seriously where was Muhammad? Golden said he was playing for sure. i do not remember seeing him once this game. overall my analysis is that the talent has improved across the board but our game planning is very questionable. Golden may need to take over offensive play calling responsibilities bc Coley was horrendous tonight.

People keep saying that college football needs a relevant Miami…that's bullshyt. College Football doesn't need us. We have almost arrived at SMU's level of irrelevance. Moving to Division 2 is the only reasonable answer. We are a small school that is in way over it's head.
WTF are u talking about?!!? You even a cane fan?? division 2 my @ss man, send Golden to Division 2. Miami has all the talent in the world in it's own backyard, just need someone who can develop our guys that sign... this man definable is not it, no more defending him.

Kaaya will be good. The problem is, as stated before, our coaching staff. We can put in all the time and dedication to weight training, conditioning, etc. But, when push comes to shove, the team takes the personality of the head coach. And, in that regard, we're soft. We have NO fight, NO fire, and NO passion as a team. The once proud Miami program we've gown up with, fell in love with, and became a big part of us, is a fast fading memory. College football has changed dramatically in the past 10 years. And, we're no longer a big part of it. We're a brand name. An empty shell of our glorified past. Golden is a nice guy and all. But, with the talent we have, we need someone who will bring back that tenacity, fight, fire, and passion. We're at a huge cross road for our program.

The sad part in all of this is we are only a coach away from being good again. Look what WVU and OKST did against vastly superior teams this past weekend. I'd have to say we have more talent than 75% of the teams we play. But the fact that the opposing coach is always 100% better than ours, negates the talent gap. The administration has to pull the trigger on a coaching search sooner than later. If not this downward spiral will continue. Don't blame the players. They are being misguided by an incompitent coaching staff. You can't put square pegs in round holes. These players are being set up to fail. Especially Kaaya tonite. After this offseason's shenagins with Golden and PSU, there should be no excuse to find a replacement.

The intelligence of most people on this board is alarming. The game as a whole was sloppy to start, but Louisville def. did a better job of settling in after half. Here are three likes, dislikes, and questions:

Like:
1. Defensive line - I thought as a whole they did a really nice job with a bruising RB. They contained the run and allowed LBs to get into the backfield and make plays. They wore down a bit at the end, but that can be attributed to being on the field too long.
2. Denzel Perryman - no explanation needed
3. Tyriq McCord - This could be placed under D-line, but I felt it deserved its own callout. All we ever see is this dude make plays and yet he is always low on the depth chart. It was great to see him 1) start 2) make two big TFL early on in the game. He had a few weak technique plays, but it was great to see him in there consistently.

Dislike:
1. James Coley - I hated his play calling last year and felt he had a lot to do with Morris' regression last season. My main frustration is that he didn't put Brad or Duke in positions to be successful. Too many snaps under center for Brad and too many jumbo sets for Duke. Louisville stacked the box and was challenging us to beat them and we chickened out. Oh, if I see Malcolm Lewis in on a run play one more time, I'm going to flip my s***. Seriously! If I were the DC I would just put all 11 guys on the line of scrimmage, because we are that predictable.
2. O-Line - While there is no doubt they got bullied tonight, the play calling didn't help them get in a rhythm. In addition to getting beat physically, Isidora made so many mental mistakes. We are going to need to find some consistency at this position or we are in a ton of trouble.
3. Stacy Coley - he made two huge mental mistakes (fair-catch and drop pass). After the first hit he took from Burgess, he just looked out of it. We need him to really step up and play like a veteran this year.

Questions:
1. Why didn't we see any action from Quan?
2. Anyone else "satisfied" with the defensive performance?
3. Who is the best QB on the roster?

Recap:
This game went pretty much the way I expected. Kaaya would make some plays that make me optimistic, but wouldn't overcome the obstacles of being a true Freshmen to win the game. Honestly, I thought he played fine. Could it have been better? Absolutely! However, I thought the play calling and lack of protection didn't do him any favors. I did like his look through progressions, but he was a bit inconsistent and cautious at times. The big question I have, is who is the best QB? Now that Brad has started tonight, I have zero interest in seeing Heaps on the field. He does not help our program in anyway. I've longed felt that this season was a "hold" as long as we didn't regress, we should set ourselves up nicely for future success. We were never competing for a national championship this year, I don't care if Jimmy Johnson was our coach. We just don't have the play makers.

I'm definitely not a Golden advocate, but those calling for his termination should just be quiet. The administration views Golden's record as 0-1. He gets a complete pass for the pass for the first three seasons, because of the whole NCAA debacle. Does that excuse poor performance? Absolutely not. Miami still puts more talent on the field than 90% of the teams we play, so there is no reason we should lose to the Duke's, Maryland's and Virginia's of the world.
