I agree BUUUUUUUUUUT........it's the way we lost. I can live with losing...it's a long fking season....but we basically played five guys that were eating breakfast at Cracker Barrel and got outplayed for (and I'm being generous here) - 37 out of 40 minutes. We were beat in every aspect of the game.

I see nothing exciting about playing Wake Forest and Syracuse. Coaches locking the doors and shutting down visits to focus on 2 dog **** programs, because of their own failures, is pretty embarrassing. No other program in America has done that and many have much bigger games to play, more to win and more to lose.

The trajectory of this team has completely shifted from when we were 4-0 going into VT to now. We're closer to a national laughing stock at 9-1 than we are a national title contender. It'll be exciting when that narrative changes.

I agree. It was a bad game, and a lot needs to be fixed. I’m just saying people firing up the “Larranaga is cooked” **** need to calm down.

If you want to act like 2019-2021 are an indictment on coach L then there's really no point in discussion, we got ****ed and everyone knows it. Yes, other schools did too but we aren’t Kansas, it wasn’t going to hit them the same way it did us.

We just signed our best class ever. We currently have two top 70 players that signed this week for next year’s team. We’re less than 2 years removed from a Final 4 appearance. It is 100% too early for it.

I fully acknowledge the FBI BS. I'll only factor in the last 3 seasons and then this year...

After last year's expectations and results and you follow it up with today... nah. Not too early. Never too early after last year. Especially when it looks exactly the same overall, and then individually the exact same guys giving you the exact same results and having the exact same problems.

Can't play defense, can't rebound, can't communicate, and can't play energetic. None of those involve any talent whatsoever. Coaching/attitude entirely.

You’re admitting in here to being a negative person so idk why I’m doing this lol

But genuine question, what were the expectations last year? We lost our two best players in Wong and Miller, and Wong’s situation drug out a bit which I’m sure didn’t help us in the portal. I was never a Wooga guy. That I will give you, L completely missed on that if he truly thought Wooga could be a go-to, first option kind of guy.

We’re 4 games into this year. It’s way too early to draw conclusions on this season. Today sucked. Not denying that. But we’ve had **** games in the past against teams we “should” have beaten. We’re recruiting as well as if not better than ever. If lack of effort continues this year and today wasn’t a one off, I think the conversation will be fair.
 
Gonna be hilarious when Drake wins 25-30 games this year and everyone realizes maybe they don’t suck and the coach who went 373-60 after two rebuilding years, won 4 national titles, and probably would’ve won a fifth if the Covid year didn’t get canceled, might be pretty good despite a “D2 roster”

This is why I'm 97.3% convinced that this is who the team is at this point.

It's going to continue.

Past performance is the best indicator of future performance.

Honestly? This is the same thing as the baseball team last year/this year. There are questions on the court that likely don't have answers available on this year's roster. There are certain things where we will struggle and be what we "are".

I think the things we can best hope for are as follows:

- Blackmon/Staton-McRae figure out the jump to the ACC and play better.
- BJ becomes the offensive focal point and embraces it.
- Cleveland becomes a role player and just works his *** off defensively.
- Kidd's minutes decrease in favor of shooters.
- Pack either finds his former glory or cedes his starting spot to some combo of Blackmon/S-M/Bethea
- Ugo becomes our sixth man and spark off the bench.

Past those things...I'm not sure there's a lot of answers to what's ailing us right now unless someone develops and becomes an alpha that everyone else can play a support role for in a ******* hurry. Looking at you, Jalil.

Based off today...we are realistically missing the tourney again. You're deluding yourself and lying if you think this is the same as us losing to FGCU in 2013.
 
This team looks dangerously cerebral (again) at this point. The only firebrand I see is Jalil and he's nowhere near being the guy
