Those rumors were around before the DC went to UF when he was at Auburn.

People have provided the answer to this for a week, but some people choose not to listen.

A. Slingblade Billy chose to keep Racist Ron Roberts over all the other position coaches who were equally (if not more) responsble for the half-season turnaround.

B. Slingblade Billy chose to go out and hire 16 other Co-DCs, rather than to keep and promote the coaches on his own staff who saved his job at mid-season.

It's beyond obvious. All the decent D-side coaches have chosen to take lateral job offers to get away from Slingblade and Racist Ron.

Do the research. Read the Florida boards. Or Gator Tears.

Austin Armstrong (DC) took a lateral move to Houston.

Will Harris (DBs) took a lateral move to Miami.

Gerald Chatman (DLs) interviewed for a lateral move to the NFL, and may still leave (Harris interviewed with Texas before taking the job with Miami).

The only guy who is "staying" on the defensive staff (other than Racist Ron Roberts) is Mike Peterson. A Gator alum, and nearly his entire resume involves "working at Florida", outside of a stint with former Gators head coach Will Muschamp at South Carolina. The guy is a Gator Lifer, I'd expect him to be less bothered by overtly racist behavior.

On paper his year 1 staff was legendary but this year's staff should actually get the results we need.

I love this defensive staff. My only 'concern' is Hetherman, simply because Ive seen good DCs come to Coral Gables, completely sh*t the bed, and then leave CG only to be successful again.. I'm being a b*tch, I know, but I need to see him do it down here first.

I can't stand Mario on gameday. Win or Loss that MF just finds a way to ruin my day. But, I'll give him this, he addresses his teams issues (coaches and players) with the same intensity as he does recruiting.

Prime example: pass defense. We were trash last year. Its a couple weeks before spring ball and our DB room (coaches and players) looks completely different.

Yes, Miami fans **** on both Florida and Colorado. Which has more to do with their ******* head coaches than it does with their position coaches.

Speaking of "overly emotional", you never miss a chance to **** on Miami fans who support the Hurricanes and hate every other team. Yes, love for the alma mater/home team somehow makes everyone but Angry Ibis "overly emotional" and "not knowing a **** thing".

Florida went 8-5. Colorado went 9-4. Not sure why you think "saying they were cheeks" comes from. Florida started out horribly and Miami blew them out in Hogtown. Does that mean they don't have one single talented assistant coach? And the dislike of Colorado has much to do with Coach Neon, not with a position-by-position analysis of the assistant coaches.

What's so pathetic about your posts is that you think people must hold a monolithic opinion. That if you hate the team or you hate the head coach, that MUST mean that you hate all the assistant coaches too.

For 2024, Florida and Colorado are two P4 programs with winning records that played in bowl games. Clearly they did something right, no matter how much we hate them.

Grow up, and stop ****ting on Miami fans who have enough mental dexterity to differentiate between hating a team/head coach and identifying any good assistant coach on the staff.
