Go with the most talented QB. If you have a championship level roster, and championship level coaching, then you want the best QB you can find to go alongside of it. Imagine plugging Cam into the 2001 roster. That team would have easily averaged 50+ PPG. We all appreciate Ken and the other QBs that won at Miami, but some of them limited what those rosters could ultimately be. Go back and watch the old tapes.

Could we see how Cam does against a top 10 team or even a top 30 defense? Definitely looks like the greatest QB in Miami history, but would like to see how he does against elite competition like those other guys played.

You saw what he did in the half he played vs Iowa st? They were the #1 pass defense in cfb
Good point. Although, I'd say I need to see more than one half of play to make that determination. Plus, as great as Iowa State's pass defense was, they only played 4 teams in the top 30 of offenses last year - Miami (#1), Texas Tech, (#4), Baylor (#19), and Arizona State (#30). The other 10 teams they played were #46 or worse in college football with 2 of them over #100 in pass offense ranking.

I love Ken and I think Jim Kelly should have been one of the choices, as I think Cam is up there with him as "best passer since...". Dorsey may have a more acute field general's mind, but I can't think of a player who can get a team out a hole and turn a game quicker than Cam.

Ward is just an instinctive passer. However, he needs a defense. Kelly, Dorsey, Testaverde and Walsh each had one. Ward's didn't get off the team bus.
