Miami opens +1 @ Louisville

You know what’s crazy? We only trailed for 2 minutes the whole game. Early 1st quarter. It didn’t feel like that at times. But we either had the lead or it was tied the whole rest of the game.

Our postgame win expectancy was really high too. Over 90%.

A game we definitely deserved to win. We were the better team.

For sure. I never felt even the slightest we would lose and don’t think anyone in our section did either. It just felt more inconvenienced than anything for us sick of watching close games.

It’s actually tough to win when you give up a kickoff return for a TD and then fumble on the literal next play. And we still did. We had a 2 TD lead at the 2 minute warning. Even doing what I said.

Would love to do it the next 2 weeks.

Obviously FSU but also Manny’s return to town. Don’t like the narrative that will be formed playing either of those close.

This is what bothered me the most about how the defense played - the failure to play complimentary football. Defense had done a good job of playing complimentary football in the second half the last two weeks. As @JayCane20 mentioned, giving up the FG before the half was bad. I can't fault them for what happened on the drive after Fletcher's fumble, but I thought they missed another opportunity when we were up 38-31. They did force a 3 and out, but then we gave up the fake punt and they wilted the rest of the drive. Hold UL scoreless on either of those drives and I think we would've won by 3 scores. Unfortunate that we gave up a TD at the end as well, would have been nice to see the defense finish that drive.
