Miami has to get this kid at this point. We are running out of options.

I don't like the theory of taking someone because you are running out of options. That's how you become mediocre. You take the cream of the crop and if you don't land them or a plan B you leave a spot open. No more Golden specials.

Agree with this but it sounds like this guy might actually be a legit prospect. Maybe not the slot speed guy but hopefully we can find that guy as well over the next month (or a grad transfer later into 2017).

Kid's a plan B, he's no scrub. He's just not in the tier of a Jeudy/Holloman/Smith. I'm good if we land this kid.

no you dont. you take your full scholarship allowed amount. every practice rep counts. competition matters. is plan B 3 star with plenty of D1 offers a better option for scout team than the walk-on that would be taking his place? you want our starting DB's practicing against 5'7" white boys every day? i dont.

the strong will survive, and the less fortunate will transfer.

Go back and look at what I was replying to. I am not opposed to plan B kids if they have potential down the road. I was arguing against taking someone because you are running out of options.

The writer Irvins over at 247 just Cyrstal balled Pouncey to Miami based on some stuff he's hearing about ND's OC leaving to go to Cincy.. He's up at the UA practices snooping around, so maybe there is some smoke...

It's not so much that the OC just left that's the concerning part there for Notre Dame. It's the fact that the OC's leaving a school like Notre Dame, to go to Cincy. He's downgrading. Meaning, something's happening in the horizon. And given the noise with Brian Kelly and the season he just had, it's not far fetched to say he's on the hot seat.
