Supposed we won't know untill NSD. But looks like we finally have the juice to get most of what we need, and a lot of what we want. Need to be relevant longer to do both though. We needed DBS last year and got them this year, need big heavies this year and we get them next? We can have all the skill and speed players we want, but without the line play we won't fare much better than Oregon did under chip. My two cents

Didn’t realize this kid was from my hometown. I don’t think a player has ever gone to Miami from Huntsville, Al. And probably never will. If he is that good, he will end up somewhere in the SEC.

I'm all for offering and signing more lineman. Any info on his interest level? Looks like he's booked with official visits, so it looks like it might be hard to even get him on campus before NSD

Vandy - Jan. 12
Alabama - Jan. 19
Florida - Jan. 26
Tenn - Feb. 2

Unless we wire you some goods....

Unfortunately the SEC schools pay more. I saw it first hand with multiple people I hung out with in high school. More money moves with basketball recruits but football recruits still get “perks”. Miami is an after thought in that area. It’s all SEC.

DL with legit offers from Bama, Tennessee and ND that already has his five official visits scheduled and we're offering after the new year?

Should've saved the paper his offer was printed on.

Jeff Thomas says hi.

Every year, we about Dline/DT. For two years straight we had one of the best dlines in the country. But we are still in. After signing day, lets talk about the dline..

Richt said they only offer OOS kids who show interest in Miami. I remember him saying that on different occasions when talking recruiting. TFWIW.

May 05, 2016: Offer
Miami Hurricanes offer Jeff Thomas

That was just a mass mailer to all 5 stars. The real recruiting didn't start till after Army game. Really.

False, Thomas named Miami one of his leaders along with Bama in the summer of 2017. They recruited several times throughout that year

G14 classified or double secret probation? There’s a difference.

G14 classified I know nothing about but I DO know double-secret probation and this is NOT a case of double-secret probation. This had been very clear ever since the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor.

Little late on the offer there Mark and staff...

Kid has all his visits lined up. Doubt we have any shot this late in the game

Way late. I don't know why we keep offering these guys so late. It's not like he was as unknown commodity. I wish we would pursue coynis Miller (DT) from Birmingham. He just set up his official visits but has one spot left. He did pretty well in the all-star game.

Complain about not going after DTs, complain after new DTs are offered. Even if other schools just offered them. The CIS way.

I am no expert in recruiting but I speculate that offering an elite prospect at this point in the game is a waste of time. If the prospect's best offer is to UCF then it makes more sense but not if all these top tier programs have been on him for years.

Works for Tusculoosa. Just sayin...
