Miami needs to get the #3 Seed or better, here’s why

SMU loses a game then it possibly goes back into the 3 way tie conversation with us and Clemson. Unless their loss is to Cal, where we would hold the tie breaker over Clemson (Louisville) and SMU (Cal) and neither of them play GT.

A loss to Virginia or BC and it ends up in the 3 way tie and goes down to conference opponent win % and then SMU is most likely out and Clemson is in.
No, SMU is in if they win their next next 2 out 3

Miami is in if win final 2 games

You must delusional and simply not watching our football games. I would be thrilled if we even make the playoffs. The way I see it to get in we have to win ALL our remaining games to get into the playoffs and that's including the ACC Championship game. We still have only played one tough opponent which is Louisville. Unless our defense has a miraculous turnaround I just don't see let alone vying for at least a third seed. I can think of at least 15 teams would hang a BIG L on us. I hope I'm dead wrong.

IF we don’t win out we’re not making the playoffs regardless….

What’s the difference in wanting PITT to lose a game so we control our own destiny again after GT beat Miami and hoping BYU loses a game so IF we do win out, the schedule sets up nicely for us in the event we do make it to the semifinals??

@OrangeBowlMagic is CIS just full of idiots or what? It’s insane the peanut brain fools on here. You’re one of the few open minded people on here

We should win our remaining games as long as the offense finds it's legs again. I expect us to be in shootouts and we have the horses to win those. We've been in them for over 2 months now. The team knows what they need to do.

I do believe if we play SMU in the playoff Mr Lashlee is going to hang a big number on our defense,

After last Saturday I don’t pay attention to the bracket anymore. Thought we were a lock for the playoffs- figured Ward was talented enough to overcome the defensive issues. I see now that Winning out and the ACC championship isn’t going to be as easy as I hoped.

The D let GT hold the ball too long but they aren’t responsible for UM being unable to convert 3rd and 4th downs, which it did without any issues up til Saturday. Need to see if it was an aberration or if the O is finally coming back to earth. And before people say I am mope- remember we had this same conversation in 2023. TVD set ACC records in 2022, 2023 was not good. Many thought he was championship caliber even when we started to see the flaws.

Ward has been next level all season, but he played poorly against GT. Wasn’t even really their Defense playing exceptionally well (Duke actually covered WRs better IMO) he simply refused to take check downs and held the ball far too long. That’s not the first time it’s happened this season, maybe if he gets more possessions he would have eventually figured it out. Unfortunately teams will be able to limit possessions because the D can’t get off the field. Ward has to capitalize on limited opportunities. Guess we will see in a couple weeks.

I can't remember what NFL QB said it, maybe it was Montana, but the most important part of a 2 minute drive is getting that first first down. Cam wanted the home run ball.

This is why I'm optimistic. That was our **** in the punchbowl IMO, that's not who we've been, offensively, all season I think we bounce back and show some pride.

High seed will pick between Cotton and Orange, so they’ll pick the dome since it eliminates the variable of the weather, which means we’d be in the Orange Bowl as the three seed
They won't get to choose. It will be based on geographic location. If Oregon is #1, they will be placed in the Cotton Bowl bracket. The brakets won't change to satisfy a team wanting to play in a dome.

They’ve got a tough last 3 games.

Home vs Kansas, they’re only a 3 point favorite.

At Arizona State, who is 7-2

Home vs Houston, who is playing a lot better. They beat Utah and a ranked Kansas State the last 2 weeks.

Then maybe Colorado in the Big 12 championship game?

If they finish 13-0, they deserve the #3 seed.
Kansas offense has been on fire lately. I think byu goes down this weekend.
