It's a combination of several factors. Either way you slice it there's a bias.

I dont believe the we hate miami kids thing i think its a bias of head coaches to better put it. I always believe a saban kid gets a bump or if he goes full court press for someone which is okay i get it. I want anyone clemson bama or uga want

I agree it's not just us. For example it had to have just happened to Michigan. Our entire class dropped but we still jumped them in rank.

I get that too but then they’re not making decisions based on the kids’ abilities, they’re adding in the influence of who they’re committed to. No way in ****, after his performance at the Opening, does Chaney drop if he’s committed to Clemson, Bama, O$U or UGA.

I’d like to know which service is the fairest. That’s who I’m going to start following more.

The explanation now is that our kids aren't being dropped in the rankings, but instead that other kids are rising.

This is just false. There aren’t a lot of 5* TEs, and the ones there are tend to be prototype kids. Brevin is not a prototype athlete, he didn’t blow away others on measurables, and so he was a high 4* kid on production and ability. He was also the second ranked TE in that class. The top ranked TE was more of a prototype (6’7”), went to UGA, and was also a 4*. Both he and Brevin were ranked as 6.0 on Rivals, which is a notch below 5*. It’s a myth Brevin would have been ranked higher if he went elsewhere. Maybe there are examples of that, but he ain’t it.

Well it’s so hard to believe that 247 got busted years ago for bumping FSU and bama recruits. Also Kevin Patrick said big schools coaches pay the “ evaluators “ to give bumps to their players because they get bonuses for 4-5 star type players”.

But just like politics is all on the up and up now? I’m almost positive it is lol.

It’s about the size of the fan bases that pay for subscriptions. UM’s fan base that would pay for football board subscriptions is nowhere near the size of the big public schools. They want to make the people that pay the bills happy. It’s certainly politics.

Not saying Wiltfong is on the take, just saying that explanation sounds exactly like damage control.

That’s BS. Then explain Nauta and O’Leary? Brevin had better stats than them both AND is faster AND more athletic. They are all the same size. If being 6’7 matters than why did Washington drop 10 spots after killing it at camps and running faster than Nauta and O’Leary could dream about? It’s because Nauta chose UGA and O’Leary went to FSU. Whorechant’s Dot boosts FSU commits ratings on rivals like Stampini does the Gators on 247. They have a huge amount of subscribers for their boards compared most everyone else.

I wouldn't agree with the Harris ranking either. Nobody's watched him live yet with the mindset of comparing him to other 2020 guys, so probably a random placeholder ranking for now

I think bias is always going to be the normal. Like they used to rate our guys super high after Butch because they trusted the U. Bias in some form is true but u dont need bias for cant miss guys like patrick Peterson Clowneys etc. U want no bias? Look at gogeta liberty city el and few guys here and u wont get bias

It seems wild to "random placeholder" a Top 50 spot to a guy who just reclassified. They're driving up the price so he can the SEC bids that he's looking for.
