Miami looking to set an Attendance record

Begging for fans to come to games. So sad.

What's sad is the excuses fans have for not going. If I can drive 200 miles to go some of the local armchair QB's need to get out of recliners and support the team.

I have no problem with them trying to do everything they can to get butts in seats. I'll be there as always.

Good lord, you people need to get on social media. The record is that we have never had a season in which every home game had an attendance of 50,000 or more. 2016 will be the first time if the attendance gets to that mark against Duke.

cause we all know that if its on social media then its gotta be true

Aah yeah, what's wrong with this fanbase base?

This site? Ya'll are a bunch of high heeled princess around here?

Vegas had us 6-6. CIS had 10-2 ACC ch ampionship Richt's first year.. Really? With Golden girls? Your high...

We may go 8-4 with this Saturday. You, tough guys that is good. Should we trade a "good" win for a usual ACC lay down. Of Course. But ish is what it is.

This board has no real direction besides overall *****ing like screeming clams.

I don't care about your proceeding lame ball jokes. Make a real Cane conversation besides balls, and I own yours anyways. Because you bring nothing to the table.

Cheer for the Fu%#%ngk Team. We are getting better. For real.

Yeah, if every undergrad showed up, that would be 10K.

Not bashing the students (Son and Daughter in Law are alums and either worked or attended practically every game), but Miami has always had to rely on the fan base to bring in big numbers...Heck, with so many alums are out of state, it compounds the problem.

Yup, my friends always ask me about this since I'm an alum - why doesn't UM have better attendance from students/alum?

- Small private school with 10-12K students
- Lots of students not from the Miami or SoFl area so they have no connection to the team or its history
- It's a pain in the *** to get to and from games AND limits their ability to tailgate if they are using the bus system
- Most alumni leave Miami/FL after graduation and very few who stay become season ticket holders
- And over the last 10-15 years, consistent mediocrity and underachieving hasn't helped...

As I am the one to bang on the balls of the fan base.

We have improved overall, actually by alot as Richt has adjusted to the offense he has.

My last post was from the West Coast. I live in Stanford, USC, and UCLA territory.

Loved the University of Miami since that lame hail mary., from CA. I liked Miami's grit. Like me.

I will attend, but honestly once every 2 years. But Checks are cut every year I fly.

Ya'll live near Miami should go. I would much rather drive to a UM game than any West Coast game. Even my sweetheart had fun last time we flew out to a Miami game. She is a Badger. But she loves our energy, passion.

Get your asses our to the game Dade county.

The issue we should be 10 and 2 easy

If it comes from the University and it is on social media, then we know two things: (1) It's true, and (2) You have no idea that it was ever posted.

My guess it would be record attendance for seasons at Joe Robbie not the OB.

This would be for Miami football, which includes all seasons at the Orange Bowl, too. All of you nancies who claim to love UM football so much obviously weren't there for the four games per year that no one showed up for.

This is not an award we are receiving , it is a claim from the school which Richt verbalized in an interview to galvanize momentum and acknowledge/motivate the fan base. If u found a way to find something negative to post on Thanksgiving/ i.e.: be an attention grabbing troll ***** please shove your head up the *** of the nearest turkey where it belongs!!!!!

They need to start donating empty seats to the kids in south Florida. Start getting them to be canes while they are young.

If you were a season ticket holder, you would know that we have the option to donate our tickets back to the U so they can either sell them again or donate them.
