Miami lands premier WR Hightower

Compare Hightown to Aldarius Johnson as a prospect. They look similar on film to me.

The problem with Aldarius is that he was about as lazy as your comparison.

With that said, Aldarius was an ELITE high school WR. My guess is he didn't put in the work to continue progressing. He seemed to lose speed in college and added bad weight--I remember him having a gut at UM.

In the same way we can compare Hightower to Aldarius, we can also compare him to Mike Williams (Clemson) or Devante Parker. All very similar skillsets and WR types. All (including Aldarius) are super talented. The level of success depends on a lot of things.

disagree, Williams and Parker have speed that Hightower and Aldarius don't posses. Wish Hightower was easily separating from DBs in his film, but it aint the case. He is good at making contested catches though.....

Mike Williams isnt any faster than Hightower.

Hightower is an animal. Anyone that b!tches about him better shut the **** up and go suck off D'Mari Jones.

Ayyyy we out here putting on a show the other coaches around the country will be scared if all these guys sign

The focus is solely on Mark Pope and Xavier Williams now to round out the receiver class. Outside chance with Thompson, but Austin and Moore are backup plans at this moment.

4 is still the expected number at receiver.

Dam I really want Austin... I hope he falls to us some how

Agreed. I think Xavier sticks with Bama and we have to go for either Moore or Austin, which is fine by me.

Aldarius wasn't as big as Hightower either and was most definitely slower.

He only said June just so he could get some breath. What do you think happens if we say this weekend. Every prick in America coaches included would be harrasing the **** out of us. Has nothing to do with art. He is the one who got art to commit & it has nothing to do with pressure as richt & dugans both said him & Pope are the only two will always have an offer. It was just time to do it. Help get this class built up right. By the way no he isn't the silent that they were talking about. 4 people commited Saturday, technically 5. Art & b are just 2 of them.

Thanks for the explanation bruh.

My Money's on some combo of Curtis Dunlap, David Reese, or Cleveland Reed being the other 2 commits

Saying technically 5 commits tells me Delaney commited that day also.

No sir, It's Dunlap and Tyson Campbell

Reed cousin said that besides Cleveland that it was Dunlap, Hightower and Tyreke Johnson that were the most blown away by the visit.

I don't doubt that and I don't doubt we land all of those guys, I just have a hunch it's Campbell. Brooklyndee can you ruin the surprise? lol

How bout a compromise. The technicality is Evan Neal... the other two are in that group of players mentioned & to sum up even further every one of the players except possibly tyreke (who I THINK we end up with) will all be canes.

Thompson is a backup plan too. People just refuse to listen. The priorities are Pope & Xavier. However Xavier has been told he needs to atleast decommit soon to show us he's serious. My understanding is he has till paradise before we move forward with Austin & Joshua moore & Thompson. I don't know though if by paradise he means a commit by paradise or not.

The size comparison to Treadwell is right on. I think Treadwell ran a 4.64, which is likely faster than Hightower. Hightower must have put up a disappointing 40 at the Orlando event because he scratched it.

Only question I have on him is speed. Sometimes, the bigger WRs succeed with less speed in HS. I'd like to see his testing numbers to see how athletic and explosive he is because at 6'2 he's not overwhelmingly big. Looks like a really smooth player though.

Looked bigger than lingard standing next to him at the Orlando opening who is a big rb in his own right

I like that Joshua Moore kid. I havn't heard too much about him on here though. Do you know if he has any legit interest in Miami?

He's not 6'2. He's a quarter inch short of 6'4 now & he's run a consistent low 4.5s dugans will have him as a mid 4.4 by freshman season.
