Depends on what he’s doing here. I’m gonna assume it’s a full on power clean but can’t really say much245 pounds on the bar, assuming it is 45 pounds. Does anyone know power lifting well enough to know whether that is a good weight for a 17 year old?

Power cleans seem like a tough movement for a person with long arms and legs as well.Depends on what he’s doing here. I’m gonna assume it’s a full on power clean but can’t really say much
I’m sure there will be some goobers in here that would be like “errm back in my day I power cleaned 500” but not really any context here
Could be a max. Could be his 100th rep. Could be just a clean.
I’ll just say that from what I’ve seen from the kid so far, I’m impressed. Could have had high bust potential based on work ethic and general ****ery but he sure seems ready to work
Absolutely is. Plus there’s a lot of technique involved where like if you’re a powerlifter you have a goal of a certain PR where this kid might be doing 100 reps in a conditioning program settingPower cleans seem like a tough movement for a person with long arms and legs as well.
Kid works hard. Not quite ready to be a poster on CIS based on that weight. But maybe somedAY

He has a 10 pound plate on the outside. Assuming he has the same weight on both sides, he has 245.That's 225 lbs.
You right. I missed the 10's on the end. Good eye!He has a 10 pound plate on the outside. Assuming he has the same weight on both sides, he has 245.
45 pound bar, (4) 45 pound plates=225+2 (10) pound plates=245
