Corey considers himself from the Greg Schiano tree, so does Mario.Nothing wrong with the hire, but disingenuous to say he's from the "Greg Schiano coaching tree" because he coached linebackers at Rutgers for two years and 16 previous years at other stops that had zero to do with Schiano.
Not sure I understand why Pate brought up the tempo differences between Minn and us. We did a good amount of huddling this year and would only go uptempo sometimes after getting a first down.Just watched Josh Pate, he said that the thing he is mostly looking at is how Hetherman adjusts to calling a defense for a high uptempo offense that we will run. He said that hes used to slow tempo offenses that burn clock and that miami is a whole new world in regards to putting pressure on the defense if we end up having quick offensive drives. He also pointed to Jeff lebby and how he did the same thing and hired a DC who is used to slow tempo offensive teams and ended up failing.

(In UM colors)
I can’t believe yall actually call him that.swag daddy coming or what?
Pate used to be smarter than this. Just because our offense scored at a ridiculous clip doesn’t mean we were break neck. Honestly if we were, we probably would’ve scored 50/game.Not sure I understand why Pate brought up the tempo differences between Minn and us. According to this website, Miami ran a play every 26.9 seconds on offense and Minn ran one every 29.3 seconds. Not really that big of a difference.

We also had an average of over 32 minutes of time of possession a game according to ESPN. Sounds like plenty of time for a competent DC to run a successful defense to me.
