Confirmed Miami (hires) Minnesota Corey Hetherman as DC

That's not entirely true.

They only ask my opinion on things like this to reaffirm what they already feel.

If I don't like a hire or a player, they have zero interests in what I say or think.

Trust me, as soon I say something they don't like or agree with, no matter how true it is, they'll grab the closest brick they can find to throw it through my window.
Eh, no need to play the victim. Your probably the most supported poster on this site (and for good reason).

There will always be people with differing points of view, nothing wrong with that. Then a certain percentage of people are just un educated fools. On a board this large, thats a pretty high number of posters. Oh well, no reason to really be concerned with what that group says.

That's not true at all.

That title would go to Cribby by a long shot.

And I'm not playing the victim. I'm simply stating what happens.

I don't ask people anything on this board, THEY ASK ME. Then when I give my opinions, they have an issue with it. Then people get mad AT ME because other people ask me my opinions, WHEN I NEVER TOLD THEM TO ASK ME IN THE FIRST PLACE.

A few things… he is from Minnesota and a life-long gophers fan.

Also, he was recruiting in south Florida and was in a very bad car accident on the interstate and nearly died a few years ago. I’ve heard he still doesn’t like to drive on the interstate as a result.

I would say the location and having to drive that all the time is probably a little PTSD for him.. if the thought process even made it past the fandom and home town to begin with.
Can he teach DBs at Miami from Minnesota on a Zoom call?

Am I wrong?

Does this fanbase not chew Coaches up & spit'em out for breakfast?

Hethermen could literally be the best DC in America with the #1 ranked Defense & there will be a contingency of fans who will want him fired & blame our season coming up short on him.

Guarantee it.
Already seeing it on FB and twitter. Fans being like “We couldn’t do better than the DC at Minnesota? What a bad look” and “Man only one year of P4 experience, have we really fallen off that far?” lol absolutely comical.

Great hire. Seems like minny will elevate Collins to DC. He is going to be another hot commodity in the near future if anyone can peel him away from fleck

Lol cmon man. PTSD bc of a bad accident..

He could slide off the road from black ice daily in Minnesota. **** happens and you move on. “Oh boy I can’t take this job bc I got into a bad wreck there”. The guy recruits down here all year.

I’m just telling you what I’ve heard about him. I think it’s a little different situation when you spend weeks in the hospital and every tells you that you shouldn’t be alive than a little sliding on black ice. He hasn’t been back recruiting since the accident either. He couldn’t drive for like almost a year. Med flighted off the interstate and said he still won’t drive on any interstate now.

Again, he’s home coaching for the team he grew up a fan of on top of all of this.

Classic example of “just because you have a keyboard doesn’t mean you have to type every opinion that pops into your little brain”.

Our previous DC said the defense looked better in the second half of games because the opponent finally ran the offense it showed on film. In first half they would always do something different so apparently he was completely befuddled on how to adjust.

How does Hetherman’s defense compare in the first half of games and second half of games? If an offense does something unexpected, does he become utterly useless?
