Miami - Gata position group comparison

Agree with everything except qb they got a HC who does well with qbs and dl. His dl evals r great look at the draft......both ols are trash should be a defensive game with them slightly favored because of the qb position being handled well the previous year. It went from **** to good for uf standards. We should improve as well but not in game one. I dont know what they have on dl vut Mullen usually had dogs at Miss so we will see.

Its not an unwinnable game for us though
If you look more deeply into the teams they played, franks struggled against any decent opponent they played outside of Mississippi state to a certain extent, while he was average at best vs the mediocre and below mediocre teams. This is telling and our defense is certainly better than anyone they played last year.

You realize Osborn was on the Biletnikoff watch and nearly totaled UFs top two leading receivers combined yardage, himself, right?

Osborn is the most accomplished WR going into this game.
Osborn may have been that guy in THAT conference, but At this point Osborne and Payton has pretty much played against the same level of competition. Not really... but you get the point. But again, I’m all about our WR, but you have to be realistic. 3 of UF receivers are already looked at as top 25 WR in the country and they have good unproven WR as well. It is what it is.

:pgdead: @ three top 25 WR in the country. Go back to Alligator Alley. You showed your hand way too quickly.

I get CB but I don’t get the Safety thing. I think we have more talent there. They have guys that probably played more but they’re not that great and they are thin there. With Franks, I get giving him the nod but only because we have an unknown with the change. I believe that whoever wins our QB competition will be more productive in moving our offense than Franks.

Yeah their safety position is utterly trash. I’ll take our guys there

I saw on their board that against good teams, his completion percentage was in the 50’s. Our guys were like that too last year but I think people are underestimating the difference Enos will make. The gaytors aren’t going to see a radical upgrade on the field.

His numbers look pretty **** terrible vs most of the teams last year and none of those defenses were as good as Miami’s outside of Michigan

U got to factor in schedule sometimes man.....lsu defense look a whole lot better then ours with the eye test in terms of speed and athlete wise. I know anyone can look all world vs our O last year but lsu d did look better for me at least. Cause i know u have the die hard homers that have different opinions.

To me stats are great but theres so many college teams that dont play each other. For example if troy fields a top ten decense would u really think its a top defense or did there scheduling help. So i usually go by the eyeball test for college at least

Shhh. Franks is amazing. NFL HOF potential.
Mirv, you’ve seen the screenshots. A month ago they had him as a first round pick. This past week one of them rated him better than Daniel Jones who was just drafted in the 1st round. Justin Fields couldn’t beat out Fromm but they had Franks going ahead of Fromm in the next draft. It’s a crazy level of delusion over there.

This is also true our qbs will look much much better and the offense as a whole. Thats why the UF game is very winnable but i get that there favored. Same way we were favored vs LSU. If we beat UF who challenges us on the sched? No one

I think beating uf is huge cause u send a message to recruits and u possibly clean the schedule especially if its convincing

I think it's going to be a good game. And I'm optimistic of our chances..

The on-field x variable for both teams will how the QBs respond to the defensive pressure created by weak OL. Franks on paper looks pretty good. But we all know he's limited, and there are parallels to how Rosier looked going into 2018. I think our QBs are more naturally talented, and we have a lot of film to exploit Franks' weaknesses.

The off-field y factor will be how coaches prepare their teams. I don't see how you can give Mullen and Grantham an obvious advantage over Enos and Diaz. That makes no sense to me. At best it should be a push.

The z factor is team culture. I am a believer in #TNM, and fundamentally believe that when the game is on the line, our team will bring it. It's going to come down to momentum and who wants it more. I think that's the Canes.
So your guess is based on nothing but feel..... you can't see how Mullen would be given an advantage by most? And who wants it more? Altighty then

Even Wisconsin looked fast against our offense. I literally have to throw last year out with the coaching change. No way we are slower than Wisconsin but our coaching, player and game management, play calling and scheme was the worst i can remember.

Man we lost 6 games last year and you want to put Ws against everyone already? Our fans are so delusional

Everyone knows we were so predictable that defenders would just sit where our routes would end and we'd still be running the route like a dumbass. Easy to look fast when you're already there.
