JD spoke to the Miami Baseball Forum today from 12pm-2pm. It was a great meeting. JD was very honest about last season and this upcoming season, very honest about the culture change with the program and why we decided to cut some guys.
The biggest news out of the meeting is that we will have 21 full scholarships next season which is great news. The roster limit is 34, Im personally very happy to start with 21 scholarships, hopefully over time we can increase that number. But we should be able to offer majority of our roster 50% scholarships, To the elite players 100% scholarships.
JD also mentioned that the 34 man roster won't be a problem for them because the are used to carrying between 33-35 guys and they haven't really moved off the original 35 man limit that was always in place before covid.
I think we are in a good spot and I am 100% riding with JD after todays meeting.
