Combo of both but no doubt if it was my boys in blue, even w/ those mediocre losses, UK would be #1. Gimme a 1-seed at the end of the day and my mind = blown.

It really is that simple.. duke's losses are much better than ours.. even if one of those was to us..

That's a dumb argument. Duke lost to us by 27, that should count for A LOT. They lost to NC State, who, in reality, is not much better than Indiana State (seriously, they're not).

I agree it should, but clearly it doesn't.. as duke was (and still is) ranked ahead of us.. Dukes losses just look better on paper..
 
Lots of soft shoulderedness in here for people defending Duke being ahead of us. In the end, I dont give a **** because we are going to beat their *** again and leave no doubt in anyone's mind.
 
This is getting silly.

Duke has only two losses. We have three.

Duke is RPI #1 and their TWO losses were to RPI #2 and RPI #17. Both on the road.

Our THREE losses were to RPI #7, RPI #46, and RPI #94. Two on a neutral court and one on the road.

Some people simply like to aggregate the RPI totals of your losses, with the lower obviously being better.

If you do that, Duke has an aggregate RPI loss total of 19.

Ours is 147.

Massive disparity.

IMHO they deserve to be ranked ahead of us right now. We have TWO losses that were much worse than their two losses, and then yet ANOTHER loss to boot.

I'm a pretty big homer, but its getting out of control here right now. We're #3, and its close for #2. Every game matters. Enjoy it!

In RPI reality, NCST is 39 spots lower than Indiana St. That's huge.

I am not defending it, I just think (albeit stupid) because they have 1 less loss they get the benefit of the doubt.
