CORAL GABLES — It was another historic Monday in Miami.

This is getting serious.

The Hurricanes landed at No. 3 when the Associated Press basketball poll was released Monday afternoon. They picked up 17 first-place votes in the process. Indiana was No. 1 followed by Duke. (See complete top 5 below).

Ah ****

How we are still looking up at Duke at this point is beyond me. Especially with our RPI

Their RPI is better and they have the #2 SOS. They only have 2 losses both to ranked teams. I think we should be ahead but what can you do.

FGCU and Indiana State are two big reasons why we're not #1

No, having "Miami" across our jerseys is why we're not #1.

I keep saying this.....

Both are tied for first or in first in their conferences.
missouri valley and atlantic sun? wtf?

No, the St. Leo loss has absolutely nothing to do with it. That was an exhibition game, it didn't count. FGCU is 18-8, in first place in their conference, and is an NCAA tournament team. Indiana State has some very good wins, a good RPI, and is an NCAA bubble team. Neither are really "bad" losses.
