naw the fact that the Gus was out Best RB was also sad.... Now i do want him? Of course but No matter what you say out of state Running Backs is not how Miami was built... somebody name me the last out of state RB who balled here

Craig Cooper is the only name I could come up with that was half ways decent. From Memphis, TN. Ran for 2,218 yards in 3 years, best year was 841 yards and 4 TDs. You're right he didn't ball out. Average at best.

Thats all Im sayin mane... We going to be back when the local 5 stars stay home... but im all in on Mcfarland...He should be the #2 RB next year. I like him more then Burns and Homer

craig cooper was overrated. that dude would stutter step and wiggle around like 10 seconds to get 1 yard. Mike James, Lamar millar, Damien Berry and Duke were all way better.

That sh*t doesn't even matter a lot of miamis best players ever aren't from south Florida or even the state of Florida.

Just sad that we have to go to Maryland to get a running back...SMH

Vern, you got some decent insight and I (mostly) enjoy reading your posts. But you're way off on this one.

If a school wants to play anyone anywhere anytime, you take a legit kid who can help you win from anywhere anytime.

mike james was much more productive. mike can play FB, block, find the holes, catch out of the back field. he wasnt explosive but he made plays. cooper drove me nuts to watch. alot of dancing around. Yeah berry was a kid who shannon was confused about lol

i could be wrong. just not a fan of coopers style of play. felt those other guys were better to help a team win.

Stephen McGuire was from New York, but I don't know why I'm bothering to answer. It doesn't matter if a guy is good, he's ******* good.

I guess he wouldn't take Leonard Fournette or Barry Sanders either. Bad troll work.

Gus was ***. And rb isnt strong instate this year. How many rbs in florida is better than mcfarland? Your squad fsu went to mississippi and va to get rbs.

I'll play. McFarland is a consensus top 5-6 back in America with offers from everyone. Outside of Burns, how many top backs are coming out of South Florida this year? Bryan? Ben Thompson? There aren't many.

Your shtick is played out. You bring nothing to this boards besides constant negativity and an affinity for a back who got in the end zone exactly 1 time this season.

Homer was a local 4-star RB who stayed home, what exactly don't you like about him?

Not how the U was built? We won a national championship with a QB from California. Ed Reed was from Louisiana, DJ Williams from Cali, Jim Kelly, Testaverde, etc. etc. The whole notion that Miami will only be great again with exclusively local players enrages me and proves that you have zero idea what you're talking about.

OSU went to PA for Zeke Elliott and how'd that turn out for them? How about Deshaun Watson at Clemson? Jalen Hurts is from Texas. Successful college teams recruit the best players regardless of where they're from.
