He's better than Freeman was at this stage.

These two and Walton WOW! Can you say speed!!!

RB Homer Impresses

West Palm Beach (Fla.) Oxbridge Academy running back Travis Homer had the top SPARQ score on the day after recording a 4.55-second forty, 4.03-second short shuttle, 37-inch vertical jump and a 40-foot power ball toss at 5-foot-10, 195-pounds. On top of the elite combine numbers, Homer was the best running back in pass protection drills.

That 4.55 laser 40 is legit fast along with a near 4-flat shuttle. Really looking forward to seeing Homer carry the ball this spring and beyond.

McFarland is even faster, I believe he ran a 4.51 laser timed. Maybe not anymore since Homer has been S & C for a year.

McFarland ran a faster 40 yard dash than Travis Homer, @203 pounds. Instant impact freshman.

He looks faster than or on par with freshman season duke johnson did at 20 pounds heavier based on that video

McFarland reminds me a bit of Ty Montgomery as he's being used in Green Bay. Line him up in the backfield, in the slot, motion him across - get him the ball and let him go to work.

Freemen seems a bit shiftier than McFarland. It's hard to tell though because with the poor competition, a lot of his tape is just outrunning everyone to the goal line after one cut.

Lol at poor competition comment. Dematha routinely pumps out 4 and 5 star talent every year... and when they played Miami central a few years ago they blew them out.

Homer actually ran a laser 4.48 at the nike combine..Plus he has elite top end speed.. Cant wait to see him next year...

This kid is an elite talent. Him and Burns would be one **** of a class. Richt and Brown will recruit RB well with both of their track records on past recruits.

The Ray Lewis angle scares me - Lewis has ties to Maryland, and maybe we're starting to feel McFarland slipping away so we're calling all the big dogs.

Plus Lewis doesn't strike me as the type to tell a kid that Miami is the place for him. Portis on the other-hand...

Uh, Ray was Richt's key speaker at Paradise Camp

Ray Lewis loves Miami.

Assuming his son's experience hasn't tainted that I can't see why he'd be telling McFarland to go anywhere else.
