I'm 99% sure Rolle is comparing Winston to Emmett Till, a black teenager who was killed in the 50's for flirting with a white woman.

Even if Winston is innocent, what a remarkably ignorant, if not willfully blind, thing to say. Wow.

Always quietly appreciated and respected Rolle. That was my mistake. He's just another punk.

I still can't believe he'd make the comparison. Wouldn't be surprised to see the tweet deleted soon.

Emmett Till was a 14 year old who was murdered for allegedly flirting with a white woman. He was beaten, had one of his eyes gouged out, before being shot in the head and thrown into a river.

Obviously, very similar to Winston raping a white girl and being accused of sexual assault and skating it thanks to a corrupt system of police and school officials.

Pay attention please! This is now about the cover up by FSU, its athletic department, coaching staff and the Tally PD. His guilt or innocence no longer matters. They sold their souls for football like PSU and should answer for it. And by the way, read the article and you will see Rapist is serial and this was not his first time nor will it be his last.

So Tally folks have went from killing innocent black dudes for flirting to protecting guilty ones for rape? Well they certainly has stopped the whole racist thing, yu'all. NOW, if they could work on the "women are just property" thing. By the way, know who else is a Rhodes? Old Bill Clinton. Maybe you need to have no respect for women to be a Rhodes.

Boy Myron for a Rhodes scholar you sure didn't accel in reading comprehension if you read the article.

They aren't trying to "kill" Jameis the rapist , NY times was going after TPD and FSU admin for not investigating this properly. No where in that article did they say Jameis was guilty.

What do you expect though from a guy who preached academics and could have gone to any prestigious academic school in the nation but chose FSU of all schools.

NYT does not play games...this will spread the corruption far and wide until someone strong enough emerges to break this cover up wide open.
 
Only comment that I have is mishandling of Sexual Assault is an issue Nation Wide on College Campuses, and exists even in the absence of a crazed sports culture. **** the way my D3 school handled it was just as much of a circus.

The problem is that the guilty one is suffering less than they should and the innocent one is suffering far more than they should. It is possible neither party honestly feels like they are lying. Which is an option that nobody really delves into much. But highly possible.

This case is no different from the one that wiped out wins and resulted in four years of bowl bans at PSU. It's not about whether Jameis is guilty; it's about the school not fulfilling it's title IX obligations and thus breaking federal law in an effort to win football games. It's the exact same precedent that Emmert slammed PSU for.
 
Can't stop chuckling about that pathetic response from the FSU Boosters to the NYT article. It's getting hot and they know it.

Not really, the school tried to cover up the Penn state situation, this one was all law enforcement. The school acted, the police didn't.

Very foolish of them to come out with such a rash aggressive response. Especially against the biggest paper in the world, and when they clearly waited till football was over to attempt to satisfy Title IX.
