They need to red shirt McLeod and bring him back next year as the man. Dude is barely going to play this year, wasted year for him.

And just like that Manny spoke about it today and said we are not going to redshirt him.

Smh I know, I just read Barry Jackson’s blog and it was talked about in there. I think it’s a mistake by manny but if he wants to go into next year with an inexperienced line backing corps so be it. He’s the coach and the length of his stay will be determined by these decisions.

its dumb they really should...and allow him to come back next season as a full time starter.

Imma sell as much as i can the u to hyppolite

Crazy thing is they just did that with Willis who then had a monster year. It would have been great if that translated to a mid round draft pick to validate the move, though it sounds like there was something else that kept under wraps that impacted that.

You’re a true Cane my man. Always appreciate what you do and your views.

I'll talk a little bit more about Hyppolite and his recruitment on this weeks Friday night insight podcast, but I will say that he is attempting to make it to every Miami home game this season.
Is the plot...thickening?

go back and watch what McCloud was doing on the plays Brooks was making last week. He was completely lost. Even ran the opposite direction on a play lol

Oh believe me i know. I was 1 of the ones last year calling out his play consistently. I justy feel its a disservice to him to burn a year for like 10-15 plays a game. When we have sh*t coming back at the position next year honestly.

if i was McCloud for his own future, he should find a reason/way to shirt..... would not let the staff waste my senior year being the backup..

Can anyone show me stats on 5th year linebackers in the draft being a hot commodity? In fact, can anyone show me a single example?

If not, close the thread. He is our top backup at an injury ravaged position and he will be graduating.

if there's an injury, he obviously has to fill in and then gets his time to shine. but you're telling me you don't see the difference in draft stock between a 4th year LB that served as backup, and a 5th year Starting UM LB? I dont know what year he's in has to do with it. If he balls out as a 5th year starter at UM, he's getting drafted..

Yea, I doubt that he's chomping at the bit to come back for a 5th year either. Don't think people are taking that into account.

Show me an example of a 5th year linebacker being in demand come draft time.
