Martinez… not hurt

I was all for giving him more time and opportunities. I get he’s a portal guy and getting some money, but he just doesn’t produce in this offense like fletcher or Lyle or even Allen. Give fletcher and Lyle more carries at this point.
Y'all are insufferable. There's been 18 threads about the run game, all saying the exact same thing.

What's curious though is, outside of today, I haven't seen any threads on the safeties despite them doing much more harm than any RB has done.

Martinez "starts" and gets his 2 or 3 yards. Then everyone else comes in to handle business.

Our fans always find a reason to complain man. The guy is a tough runner and catches the ball surprisingly well. He had close to 100 yards combined with some clutch catches. What is the use of complaining. If we give the ball to Fletcher 25 times and he gets injured, same poeple will come here saying Mario wearing him out.

Him and Fletcher seem to hesitate/dance too often. When you're 230lbs, just hit the hole as fast and hard as you can. And pause.

I thought Fletcher started last night? I have to give Fletcher credit because he has definitely improved as a runner since last season. I think Martinez played more when the Canes fell behind and got into a pass-first mode. Martinez was solid in pass pro and catching the ball out of the backfield

Sometimes we forget about the not so flashy things.
Martinez gets a short yardage TD or short first down run basically every time his name is called. Honestly I can’t think of a time he did not come through.
When is the last time we can say that about a back? Great portal pickup

His floor is still the best we have imo, we wont see his ceiling here because of the different scheme and level of run blocking he played with at oregon st
