I like the take, though i'm no mensa member so wtf do I know.
An educated person would know they have no data to confirm what the education level of the board is by strata even relative to the us or a state, despite stupid comments here from even some doctors and phd degree holders.
And most very educated people don’t have to proclaim it.
Lot of words spilled and bragging on a message board about your intelligence level and if Cam Ward plays a full game, we win. Simple as that. Anyways, hope the degrees are working out for you bro.
Agree. Mario seems to believe that hard work will cure all, without recognizing that working diligently to implement a bad scheme is exacerbating the problem. Very rudimentary approach, of “I will keep doing same thing regardless of results because I think it should work.”Agree with this perspective OP.
It's something I noticed last year as well

One of the things that strikes me about MC, is that he doesn't really appear to be a problem solver. His solution to the issues they have are putting band-aids over a crack in the Warship, as opposed to just docking the **** thing & repairing it.
The biggest disconnect he’s having is evaluating & recruiting HS & the Portal. And this disconnect is why it shows up in critical moments during games & resulting in losses.
When things go good, we're rolling & it looks like we will be a top contending team that can compete with anybody, both on the field & on the recruiting trail. But when they go bad, it snowballs into an avalanche, to the point where whatever was done beforehand is pretty much nullified.
His process of evaluating & recruiting is very top heavy; It looks good on paper, has a lot of shine & bluster. But whenever the metal actually gets tested, it's pretty flimsy & easily broken.
Which is just like how the team plays...

What? Where is this even remotely true anywhere on this **** planet?
Yall just make up **** to force a person to be humble for no reason. It's a tad annoying.
Every single educated MF I've met can't wait to proclaim it. They're going to correct you everytime you don't add the "Dr" to their name and a host of other boisterous ways to let you know they've studied long and hard.
I'm perplexed by this comment
Basically this
Valid assessment, however the crux of the complaints about Mario are the other constant issues we have noted during his tenure:I've made some tongue-in-cheek comments in this thread because I'm still as bothered as you all are by yesterday, but all kidding aside, some of the assumptions on this board today are awful.
I've been on this board for longer than I care to admit, and one thing the board has struggled with is tempering itself after adversity. Look, I'm no Mario defender. I know what his strengths and weaknesses are. And if you know Cuban men his age, you know Mario. But for all his warts, let me say I disagree with the premise he's a meathead just forcing the square peg into the round hole. For all the "fyzikal" comments, he embraced Cam and the passing game and played a style none of us would have ever envisioned. Some even joked we were a Lincoln Riley Oklahoma team. In what world would we ever dream of comparing Mario to Riley before this year? Mario did show a different side of himself this year. That to me shows he is capable of changing and evolving.
Yesterday, whatever. If Cam plays a whole game, we win. The D actually had a stretch in the 2nd half where it was playing well. If Cam is in, we likely pull away and score 50. But, we had Emory in a tough spot with all 4 top WRs out in a season he's hardly gotten burn. When ISU got the ball down 6, I knew exactly how the game was going to end.
Lmao, I know that. In 95% of rooms, odds are I’d be one of the most intelligent. Some people here won’t care or breeze over this - I don’t need to reach them. This is for people that want a real analysis other than “we fumbled”
Get back to work like Miami Hurricanes. For obvious reasons Mario’s narratives have changed year to year but he’s been consistent with his “get back to work” mantra.
I don't necessarily disagree with anything you said.Valid assessment, however the crux of the complaints about Mario are the other constant issues we have noted during his tenure:
1.Penalties are at a ridiculous level, considering how much he stresses discipline and accountability.
2. Special Team return and coverage is abysmal.
3. He can’t hire a quality staff on defense ( almost ever in his 3 stops as head coach)
4. In game management is bad.
I give Mario credit for allowing the OC to capitalize on having a generational qb. He also did that a bit when he inherited Herbert. Mario will always a field a physical Oline and inside the tackle running game, however, his inability to ever field a dominant d is problematic. Lastly, he needs major help in the player evaluation and procurement dept, far too many misses in portal.
