You ever listen to color analysts from other universities? They are paid to be homers for their universities. DBJ loves his alma mater. He is a little goofy, but then so is most of our fanbase. I say that with love, too.
I think the dislike for DBJ is he came off as an apologist over the last 15 years. That is part of the job description--sunshine pusher. Go listen to other university broadcasts. Same model is pervasive throughout university broadcasts.

Yeah, there’s not much point in a color guy who goes on about what sucks, not his job. He’s there to get fans excited about Miami football, no matter how awful it might be.
Yeah, don’t let those facts get in the way of people’s negative emotions for DBJ.
I don’t want to be typical ever. Miami is a major media market and can do better.
