He said Manuelita Diaz fue un come pinga.

He basically said something like in his time at Oregon, there weren't many opportunities to speak spanish, so bear with him if he messed up a word, his mom is gonna throw a shoe at him, etc. He used to go to one little restaurant back in Oregon that was a hispanic place named Mucho Gusto, but he would stay for a while just to practice spanish (jokingly). It's an honor to be here at this moment. The best way to explain things is that I'm going to work like crazy to be able to bring success for all of the players and U family.

It makes sense why his Spanish rusty. I was living in Seattle and I had to scour the depths of the PNW to find a halfway decent Cuban restaurant out in the middle of nowhere (outside of Kirkland, WA).
