Mario Press Conference Alert.

Mario brings dogs into the program. We have a few but you don't judge a coach after his first year.

Look at Mullen at UF.

He is going to build a winning culture here but it takes time. I'm happy we are going in the right direction again.
I’m with you it takes time to reach the end goal.

But it starts with doing what your supposed to. If you’re more talented than just about every team on your schedule, like we have been for years, you should beat them. You should also compete hard and like he said “be a team others don’t want to play”. We should win the Coastal every year. That’s a realistic starting point on the way to the ultimate goal. If we see some of the same old stuff and just make excuses for it, what are we really doing?

I agree, but we recognize the strength of Mario isn't x's and o's its building a winning culture, identifying game changing football players, and getting those players to commit to the program.

Lane might win more games here than Mario in 2022, but as long as the team buys in and we see we're going in the right direction I'll be really happy because at the end of the day talent usually wins out and at Miami, Mario will get the best players in the country to commit and work hard.

Counterpoint: Mario needs to get the right coordinators to handle the X and Os. That also falls on him. These next few weeks and first few choices are gonna be huge.

If Manny had gotten Lashlee in year 1 he’s probably still here. That’s a micro example, but that’s what I’m saying. He’s gotta get the whole organization- coaches and players right.

If I hear Mario say any nonsense about “it’s gonna take time…” I’m out. Red flags are red flags. This is built to go now. Not 4 years from now.

I’m not hating on him. I’m just being honest from the jump. Need proof, look at every coach since Coker.
We are close but have some glaring holes at OL, DL, LB, and CB. Give the man a chance to hit the portal and recruit.
