Not that this is surprising but he said that winning is a huge part of the recruiting effort. Kids want to play for winners.

That puts added pressure on us vs A&M. We haven’t showed all that much so far. Can’t afford being blown out.

Maybe we don’t have to win but we have to show up in a big way. Would hate to see damage to the ‘23 class.

I’m not worried about being blowed out by A&M. That Offense and QB are ******* terrible. I think win or lose that game will be pretty close after watching them against app state.

What I’m concerned about is showing zero on the field during our easy games for a big time WR to be excited about, with the alleged best QB or top two QB in the country no less.
 
Not worried about being blown out by Texas A&M. Worried about making costly mistakes that gift them points. Not even too worried about their players if I'm honest. They shown nothing special yet they have good players who could raise their game. Will we raise ours or be beaten by the occasion

I just watched their game on youtube. The QB is trash watch the highlights, he literally will make mistakes. I'm expecting our safeties to have a huge day... I worry about our corners but we will find out in about 5 days.

Bruh last night I scooped the whole highlights and it looks like there Evals are real bad. The one kid u have to contain is that kick returner and their rb has legit wheels. We can’t break contain or he will bounce it outside and outrun our linebackers. Make them throw stop the run don’t break contain and we can stop them. Our offense has to take some risks and the pocket can’t collapse on TVD or our offense will be bad. It can possibly be a dog fight till the end, we can’t afford to pin our ears back to early u til we start stopping the run and have them down on the scoreboard. They are beatable @Liberty City El was right, we can beat these guys. My only worry is they just lost at college station and will be mad and they will play hard and hyped.

It kinda sucks that they loss to app state. Would've loved for them to come in ranked high and over-confident so we can hand them a big fat L.

Not saying we win but they looked terrible on Saturday. Maybe we can pick up Shemar while we're in town.

But when you win like one meaningful game in 15 years…yeah it’s about winning

Jimbob has recruited a lot of legit speed on that team. If they play to their capabilities, watch out. Also, we haven’t looked good in an important game in a very long time. The ****iness of this fan base is sometimes unbelievable. We ain’t done **** in ages. Let’s prove it on the field first.
 
If we lose a close game and win 10 plus games like this team should we will be fine. People act like A&M won 13 games last year lol. NIL and a strong season will help. Butch recruited like a monster and we were winning 9 games

Saying we aren't worried about being blown out is not guaranteeing we'll win or being ****y. T A&M hasn't shown any indication that they are a team that can blow out any decent team. They looked mediocre against Sam Houston State and lost to App State, scoring only ONE offensive TD in the game.
 
There you have it. Winning does matter to recruiting.
