I met Russ Faibisch back in like 2014 at a Pre Ultra beach party on Nikki Beach. Nice guy, chatted me up for a solid 10-15 mins about how crazy it is to put something like Ultra together and how he never expected it to turn into what it is today. Omes was with him too but I didn't get to chat with him. Sad what happened to him.

I took Russell to a festival in the 90's called Divine Playground. It was one of the first rave type festivals with alot of cool bands like Delight, House of Pain, Meat Beat Manifesto and Front 242. When we were leaving the concert he looks over to me and says I want to do festivals like this one day. The rest is history.

The U logo is beacuse YES he's a CANE fan. It came from the Album ULTRA by his favorite band Depeche Mode. Him and his brother Charlie have made it a World Wide event now.

Had no idea he was a Canes fan. Ultra was the first legit festival I went to. Been to a couple others since but something different for me with Ultra. Just the overall vibe of Miami during that week is second to none.

Facts. The recruits will love being around all the EDM obsessed talent, the ones who will practically do anything for a bottle water and a glow stick 👀.

ULTRA is the best festival IMO. But I'm biased. LOL
