Just depends on the contract fam, that was the case with Shoops, each contract is different. Some may have offset language if he gets any job (even serving ice cream) his buyout will decrease by whatever he make. Others may be limited to on field position, some may be more pigeon holed to a HC position, or some may have no set-off language. Who knows what Blake gave Manny years ago.
