If Manure can land a DC position at a Top 15 program we should all apply for defense coach positions. I would say 50% of this board knows more than Manure about defense and tackling.

Facts! Plus, even go to our game day threads & see how many of us called out his defense before it was called, & what should’ve been ran instead of what was called. I would choose several board participants over Diaz, & I’m dead serious.

Not to take this any more off track, but Lane was 100% fired from Alabama or relieved of his duties that week. Saban told him to not show up any more and moved Sark from analyst to OC.

False...early December Lane accepted the FAU HC position....2 weeks later he informed he was leaving and not Coach Alabaga in playoffs...Saban then upgraded Sarkisian.

Both of those can be true simultaneously, and your timeline is not even correct. He accepted FAU and was supposed to stay on through the championship game. He coached the semifinal, so your timeline is already off. Saban told him to pack his bags a week early for some off the field stuff that transpired between those two games. Not going to go into more detail on here because it really doesn’t matter, but know with 100% fact what happened.

I would argue that those great defenses Manure had were due to Shaq Quaterman and Jaquan Johnson, two coaches on the field.

Randy Shannon despite some limitations is a much better DC and has not found much post-UM success.

Manure has no talent. His Marxist Dem dad paves the way for him.

Alabama coach Nick Saban says Lane Kiffin is leaving the Crimson Tide and becoming the next head coach at Florida Atlantic

Florida Atlantic and Kiffin have agreed in principle on a deal that will make him the school's next head coach. Alabama coach Nick Saban — Kiffin's soon-to-be-former boss — lauded the Owls' move, and said Kiffin will remain with the undefeated and top-ranked Crimson Tide as their offensive coordinator through the College Football Playoff.
"FAU has selected someone that's going to do a great job for them," Saban said in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, at a news conference to promote the upcoming Peach Bowl.
Saban was the first person to publicly announce the move....


Saban, speaking on ESPN’s “College GameDay,” characterized the move as mutual. He said Kiffin and he realized there were too many “distractions” in trying to do both jobs.

“Hey, Lane did the best he could under difficult circumstances,” Saban said. “We certainly wish him well. We both had a meeting yesterday and again this morning that we thought it would be in the best interest and mutually agreed for both parties to move on.”
