Díaz’s family has disrespected this University countless times. Díaz senior sold out the Orange Bowl. Díaz senior moved mountains to get Manny hired. Díaz senior saved Manny’s job after the UVA game. Díaz senior and his posee damaged Miami’s perception leaking bad information to media members.

Díaz put injured players in harms way by playing them knowing very well they were injured. Díaz ruined King’s career. Díaz lied to countless players so they didn’t transfer. Used players to tweet BS to save face. Threw the school under the bus with that BS letter after he was terminated.

First thing Cristobal did was calling recruits and meeting players. With Manny it was updating his Twitter page. He just doesn’t get it. BTW Mario still hasn’t updated his page because it doesn’t matter.

Good for him. Manny was not a malevolent individual who screwed with players for the joy of it. He was a first time HC who did not get over the hump. He had his positives and negatives and unlike Golden and Richt he was pretty vigorous in pulling available levers to try to course correct. Happy that he landed on his feet, and that he’s out of Florida. Being up there will be a fresh start, as opposed to landing at Florida or FSU.

Jesus Christ dude, are you 12? Have you read anything on this board this past season? How about having players suit up when they had serious injuries? King had no business playing against Michigan State, Rique with his shoulder, Bolden with his shoulder. The list goes on and on. Anything good is because of Manny, any and everything less is everyone else’s fault. Manny is a piece of ****.

Wasn’t aware of the lying to players. I’ve kind of heard that about Golden but not Diaz. Can you share more?

I’ve said this in the past…I’d really love to see a more in depth retrospect from someone in the know about what went right and wrong in a previous regime. Like the book “Shark Among Dolphins” had an excellent opening about Shula’s last year, giving details about how it all fell apart that had not been reported. Too often at Miami - whether it was Golden or Shannon or Diaz - the what went wrong behind the scenes is brushed aside in the excitement of the new coach.

I find it funny and surprising that a big program would hire him to run their defense.

Good for him though. I don’t like Penn State, but I hope he redeems himself.

Craziest part of this whole thing Manny will spin Miamis imminent success to his advantage. If I had those resources when I was there we would have been more successful soon come. Yall gonna be shocked at how fast Manny gets another power 5 job. He is working at the feet of the greatest used car salesman in college football.
