Dominate south Florida AND get the best around the country that are interested in coming here. On many of Miami’s greatest teams a lot of the rosters top tier players were not from south Florida

Now I get why everyone be on you. lolol..you gotta relax.

Go to every single title team we''ve ever had..the top 10 players on those teams...I guarantee you half came from south florida.

I understand dominating south Florida but don't just ignore the elite talent OOS that are legitimately interested in you. I would also say we need a recruiting stronghold in TX and LA. FL, GA, LA, and TX as main recruiting area = win.

FL = WR, DB, RB, DL
TX = QB, OL
GA = QB, OL
LA = DB
Just for qb, o line and interior d line . I don’t think we need to go elsewhere for anything elapse

What are you talking about, it’s pointing out facts. Locking down south Florida should be a priority and in the same vein we have to supplement that talent with a few elite kids around the country that want to come here too.

Brock said dominate everywhere and he don't think were doing it. He's put thought into this ****, don't ask him if he thought about it.

Go to the 01 team and see how many of the top players were from out of state

A bunch of Miami greats were not from south Florida.

Yes it needs to be our focus for sure but we need to keep adding a few elite kids from around the country(which we have always done).

Let's play brock. Name the top 10 players from that 01 team.

off the top of my head and not in any order...

Reed
McKinnie
Dre - SF
CP
Rumph - SF
McDougle - SF
Vilma - SF
Joaquin - SF
Romberg

That's 9 players, I know I said 10 but 5 of them are from South Florida.

No one is arguing against that. But what Diaz said is still true despite our need to get great players from outside SFL too. See how you don’t have to try to be a contrarian on every point?

you’re right chise. can’t deny that. can’t have uva’s, toledo, etc qb’s looking like they did.
The dude let Pitt’s true freshman qb making his first start run his defense over. He let a super basic QB in Bryant set a completion record on him. Not to mention what Toledo and UVA did to him.

D needs major improvement from last year.

I agree. Specifically, what position group needs to improve? Or coaching change needs to happen?

It’s almost exactly half, actually just over half. Half was **** close.

Stop it. You really don't know what in the **** you are talking about.

Yes, we have frequently taken QBs from outside of FL, but FL now produces more QB talent than it did in the 80s and 90s (even if CA and TX are still better QB hotbeds).

We have had SOME players not from SoFla. NOT "a lot of the rosters top tier players". Some. Not "a lot".

And let's not forget that the State of Miami is most of the state of Florida.

Stick to your mother's basement in Atlanta.

Shockey is definitely top 10..how could I forget that.

Dorsey wasn't top 10 on that 2001 canes team. He was the weakest link.

This is why everyone wants to throat-punch Brock.

He knows very little about the UM teams of the 80s and 90s, he just keeps going back to 01 over and over again. Plus, he does not understand the context of why some of our non-SoFla talent ended up on the 01 team. Butch had to be very creative in finding guys, he couldn't just expect the top 25 kids from SoFla to sign the LoI back then. Shockey was a JuCo transfer. Dorsey became a starter because Kenny Kelly decided to play baseball full time (and, yes, I realize that Dorsey might have eventually beaten him out). We were taking guys from Canada and Louisiana and whatnot, and we even got a Dade kid on academic scholarship.

You had to be there (which Brock was not). Later, we could focus more on the SoFla kids (which gave us both high points and low points in recruiting from 2001 onward, including WW and the MNW bunch). But that 2001 team was a bit uncharacteristic for having as many non-FL players, due to how Butch had to recruit under probation.

As usual, Tee is correct, and Brock is clueless.

you definitely wouldn’t do sh*t to me so sit yo duck *** down. I wish One of you clowns would ....

No one is saying recruit exclusive out of south Florida ****head but we do need to primarily focus our resources there AND also recruit top talent around the country that want to come here. We have had plenty of our best players come from out of the tri county area and ball....

Look at Miami greatest players at each position in the nfl, majority of them weren’t from Miami.

Receiver Reggie Wayne - Louisiana, mike Irvin Miami, Andre Johnson Miami
Te- greg Olsen- nj
Rb- frank gore Miami
DT- Russel Maryland Illinois, warren sapp Apopka, Jerome brown- brooksvillee Florida

De- Calais Campbell- Colorado.

LB- ray Lewis Lakeland Florida

Db - ed reed- Louisiana

And there are plenty of other of our all time greats that aren’t from south Florida

Yeah you are right but he still was decent though compared to what we’ve had after him

Well said Ori.

& we had 2 starters on the OL who were from other counties (Canada and Iran). We really had to uncover every school, state, and other countries to put that team together.

Amazing job by Butch and Co.

Broke always strikes fear in my heart when he tells me to sit my duck *** down, I know when I would hear that on the streets, I would just turn around and run.
