Manny on Surge19

When I saw "Manny" in the title of the thread, I was sold. When your gift of gab comes across as calculated (Al Golden), or cheesy (Williie Taggart), the audience (recruits, parents, coaches, fans) will be curious, but never fully attentive. As we know, recruits make dumb decisions based of there curiosity. That's how every now and then, the Golden's and Taggart's of the world, can land a decent recruit/class. Decent classes translates to decent results on the field.

Manny's gift of gab comes across as real, raw, and relatable. Those three traits will keep an audience attention, even if the audience do not necessarily agree with what you are selling. Once you have a person's attention and not just their curiosity, you can sell them anything. Manny clearly has identified South Florida to be his audience, and therefore, regardless if he is giving a speech to moose in Canada, as long as there is a recording device or camera, he will only continue to speak to his target audience, South Florida.

With Manny's gab and Richt's likability, we will dominate South Florida, which, as Manny stated, we will then "dominate the world!"

We lose top defensive talent from South Florida all the time, everyone knows it. To do what he is saying we need to keep the bags out of here. There's more than just underrated 3 stars playing down here, there are plenty of 4 and 5 star players that we need to land our fair share of. It's fine to take some of the under rated guys but we also have to land the hyped guys as well.

The hyped guys are the ones ***ing us over every year for 💰💰's

This notion is akin to judging the reliability of your new car before you've driven it once, just because other people who've never driven it either say it's reliable. The concern about "losing" guys in our backyard that are high star guys and "settling" for three stars is a misguided gripe. Do we miss on South Florida guys? Yes. Could we take every South Florida guy we wanted to? Never. The super highly ranked guys are often told how good they are so much that they believe it and don't work for it.

The problem with star ratings is it assumes the writers 1) are better evaluators of talent than lifelong coaches, and 2) know more about the players than the staff. I will trust the staff's evaluations of local talent ALL DAY EVERY DAY over some dude who's never played football watching film online while jacking off to nun ****.

You're always going to miss on local guys, and bags are always going to play a factor. But all we have to do is control what we can and get the best guys we can out of South Florida. Stars be damned. There are more five-star busts than five-stars who made the league, and I don't think any of our long list of guys in the Hall of Fame or who will be in the Hall that we know of were five stars.

#15 is the prime example of an underrated south florida kid. Elite player that slipped through the cracks.

I’d love for you to be right.
But each year, we see money wins out for the elite guys down here.
Hopefully it changes. We seem to be playing the long game.

The long game is the core of Richt's DNA. That's why he spends some much time at elementary schools and youth camps.

Which is why I’ve always loved Richt.

This is South Florida, though.

Not exactly the most loyal/sentimental place. Miami has a “get money”, “secure the bag” culture down here where it’s every man for himself. Of course that doesn’t apply to everyone. There’s always outliers. At least that’s my perception.

We need to lock down sfla first jus sayin...........I like the blueprint and I like that they know this. Now they got to do it, I get that with the kids we got that can impact other kids. Only time will tell.

I understand dominating south Florida but don't just ignore the elite talent OOS that are legitimately interested in you. I would also say we need a recruiting stronghold in TX and LA. FL, GA, LA, and TX as main recruiting area = win.

FL = WR, DB, RB, DL
TX = QB, OL
GA = QB, OL
LA = DB

nun ****

Do they actually make this mess? What kind of sick ******* watches nun ****? Furthermore, what sick ******* (Noles & buckeyes) would then spank it watching said nun? I think we all know the answer to that

The hyped guys are the ones ***ing us over every year for 💰💰's
And becasue of that we have seemed to begin focusing on the less drama, chip shouldered, raw but gifted talent. I think that will pay huge dividends. We still go after elites obviously but we are no longer betting much on them. Get the dogs and set them loose.

This dude's talk game is as good as it gets.

Manny knows what I want to hear

Agreed. Rousseau is the perfect example. I think both #15's will have a huge impact during their freshman seasons.
they did there homework on greg, i did not think he would be great. I liked what i saw but was influenced by the offers, i cant believe i allowed that to happen. I loved his frame and the way he played too, i didnt expect it to be this fast.

An excellent analysis and assessment of the interview. Spot on accurate as well. Well done Sir.

Georgia got better talent than Texas or Louisiana. They produce everything too
