I don't believe Cristobal to be an elite recruiter. He's good because he's at Bama.

Strong was great at Florida, Louisville and Texas. Kiffin was great at Tennessee, USC and Bama. Butch was great here and at UNC.

There's a big difference between Cristobal and those three.

I live in TN. Kiffin was God awful at TN. Like 4 guys played more than 2 years from his recruiting class at TN.

Whatever happened after he left is irrelevant. He brought them in.
 
Going from Bama OC to FAU head coach seems like a downgrade to me. I could only see this if he thought succeeding at FAU would help him rebuild his head coach reputation and get a Power 5 head coaching offer.
 
I know it's been a while since we have been the Canes but you all have Stockholm Syndrone. Are you worried about who these schools are hiring when we got Danny Kanell shook and talking **** on Twitter? When Jeudy is OV'ing in Miami while Saban is blowing a gasket and slapping Cristobal around for letting this happen? We coming boys. It's a new ******* day.
 
Again, it's not a fear of USF, FAU or FIU. They'll never be anywhere close to us. I know that.

All I am saying is having those three guys down here, if they all come, is going to be an inconvenience.

I could see it it having a two year "slight" negative effect on maybe losing a recruit or two we wanted however in the long run I see it making no differene. I don't think Strong, Butch, and Kiffin are going to make these programs revelant. I think these programs are gonna expose these coaches as medicore and overrated.
 
Accuracy of USA Today is in question.

They were saying lane would be hired.
