You could have pointed out old boy from K state. Hes older then dirt it self and he came back and brought life back to that program. I think Butch still can do this, kind of shocked he hasn't gotten a legit job yet.

Here’s the difference between Richt, Butch, and Brown.

We didn’t want Butch b/c he was “old.” We clowned Brown going back to UNC b/c he was “Old.” We picked up Richt, and even though he wasn’t “old” per say, he aged.

Brown, & Butch was in the studio, looking through film all day long for their new careers. Both felt they got the wrong end of the deal at both Texas & UNC. They were out to prove something.

Richt experienced a real measure of success w UGA, built them up to a national contender each & every year.....but, he was burnt out. Not sure if it was a matter of being burnt out in general or the fact he never won the big one and the booster pressure year in and out over his last 5 yrs weighed on him. He truly wanted to retire, and it wasn’t until Blake made a stupid offer, one he couldn’t refuse (the most $ he’s ever made & an opportunity to coach a his son.....his dream), Richt begrudgingly chose Miami.

I thought Richt came to us w/ something to prove, and he did; he came to prove that he can still call plays, and his son is an upcoming coach. Both epically failed, and u literally saw him age as our coach.

Brown may have 2-3 good yrs left, but he’s going to get every single ounce out of it to prove his naysayers wrong. We had a golden opportunity to smoke the ACC Coastal, but who knows if that window is open like it was.

Me seeing Mack recruit at UNC just further proves Butch would of cleaned up in sfla. It's just a gift..,I know if u put Mack at FIU he wouldn't do ****. Recruiting is a gift man period u either can do it or u cant. We literally have the worst upper brass in the ACC as far as football leadership goes from top to bottom.
It's a shame when people get paid six figure salaries to make these choices in their profession and ***** the **** Everytime. When we sit here on a forum and know better hires then these people....such a **** **** show. When they named Manny at HC they crushed all my hope in the program that's the day I got burried. Went from the highest of highs when Mark retired to eight hours later drinking bleach.

You got it. You either play the game or get left behind. Old school coaches like Brown, the way Paterno, Bowden, and many others have, learn that you hire the guys that can recruit like **** and "organize" the booster efforts behind the scene and you can still pretend that you have no idea about such slimy things and would never "cheat".

Mack Brown is going to try to build successful program and find a lieutenant to hand it off to. We're still trying to prove we're a legit P5 program.

They lost to Appalachian State and Wake Forrest.

They're not garbage but UNC is rarely garbage. They're usually a middle of the road team. In fact, 7-6 is pretty much their standard. As a matter of fact, they average 7.5 wins per season over the last decade (If you count Butch Davis' forfeited wins as wins). They averaged 8 wins a season in Mack Brown's first tenure and that was before realignment made the ACC an actual conference and FSU was the only team worthwhile.
