Maason Smith 2.0

We didn't sign either. We lucked into them because of other factors
Lol exactly... and these are exceptions, not the rule, and both actually signed elsewhere on signing day. So yeah if he signs with LSU then the program starts to implode from Reggie Bush style sanctions, or he is in a severe moped accident and is almost forced to medically retire from football and then finds a love for music and is interested in the Frost school, that would be a different story.

I mean do not get me wrong, I am happy these are the conversations we are having so late in the game, but just too many factors to overcome here.

Oh but ummmm my brain is saying no **** he's not coming. My spirit is saying well maybe if you type that he is coming, you'll put out positive energy and it'll actually happen.

So yeah.... Get ready guys!!! Big Boy is on his way!!!

I'm hearing some things this morning from my third personality. Lets just say it's looking good.

I'd love for it to be true but I don't understand the "it makes too much sense because Miami is clearly the best option due to bama is this, clemson is that, lsu sucks, uga blah blah blah"

Like what? I hope he comes here but some of you have a distorted view on the college football landscape. You may have a case on UGA being a bad option lol but the rest? Na.

Even when LSU sucked they still produced 1st round picks. Just cuz Clemson is losing Trevor and Etienne doesn't mean they're going to suck. Did you not see DJ against ND? For Bama...Saban is retiring or that he'd be scared of the competition? Lol whattttt?????

Seantrel and Jaelan

Considering there’s only one #1 overall player every year, 99.9% of schools don’t get them. We have convinced Seantrell Henderson and Jaelen Phillips to transfer here though so we’ve got a little juice.

Seantrel Henderson, Kyle Wright, and Arthur Brown say hi.
Seantrel was not coming until USC got in trouble. We were his second choice.

jaelan phillips was a 210 pound retired concussion issue kid when Tate Martell get him to come to Miami. Worked out great obviously but he wasn’t the top player in the nation when we got him.

kyle was not the #1 kid and I would add qbs are different in their willingness to travel out of state and we are now approaching ancient history when we are looking 15 years back

brown was #23 per rivals do not part of the discussion in my opinion.

yes there is only one number one. My point is it is a huge deal when we get a top 50 kid to stay home. It’s even harder to pull top 50 talent from out of state. I know brevin....

Brown was number one overall just as much as Maason. It all depends on what service. Same goes with Wright. It doesn’t matter about Seantrel choosing USC initially. He started game one as a true frosh for Miami.

Number 1 recruit regardless of position by Rivals.

out of state

we don’t get these types of kids.
This is the best bet for certain. Anything can happen, and people will bring up Seantrel, Brevin... whoever, but we whiff on most.

I’d like to think that the kid makes a scheme fit decision with long term career implications but it’s hard to be encouraged when you see a kid like Darnell Washington go to UGA last year.
