It wasn't Luther who was involved in getting Amari and Artie there, it was a 7-on-7 coach and no it was not Genron.

He is cousins with Aldarius Johnson. That should explain everything and why his mom didn't want him coming here.

I don't know Pete, I'm gonna need some of the RCT guys to remember what IPhi said about all that. Doesn't really matter now, but there was some shady **** going on.

Great reporting Pete. Way to lock it down. I've been critical of Luke time and time again but he loves the U. Always has. Kudos to the current regime for bringing him back in. Very political and savy move if you ask me.
 
Fantastic interview, better than any other site, people who criticized you after last cycle are ridiculous, so much **** goes down in recruiting behind the scenes there's no way someone can tell us where everyone's going, but you get the best interviews for sure

pipe line is one thing but look at how great a good relationship can be

1. we recruit a player before their senior season at a specific spot we see them fit
2. High school coaches prep them for that spot, build them up when they get here they are already on their way.


This is why it is so important to have good relationship with local hs coaches.


about Cooper, Soon the SEC buying players will come to an end and we wont lose players magically to school they never visited or all of a sudden flip to.

Pete no offense bro, why does Luke make it sound like its Miami's fault when obviously there was a ton of other bull**** going on which had nothing to do with our staff? That's that **** right there. Bothers the f#ck out of me because all it does is make Miami look bad & for no real good reason.

Was Miami not Coop's first major offer? Also, I remember a lot of late season noise about UM making a huge push for Coop. Can't buy we didn't recruit that kid hard enough. Maybe we didn't 'croot him hard enough, but that's another story.

couldn't agree more he just has to understand that Miami only has 25 ships a year not 50...

Filter the top players into the program if he has that much love for the program...but that's just my 2 cents

Fack Luke and his stupid *****. Sadly, a lot of the cretins posting here have the same stupid idea of what Miami football should be.
 
Luke and Ice loves the U but they are like every coach who feel spurn that their players didn't get a U offer... We hear coaches complain all the time why do we kill the two coaches who have the longest resume for sending players to the U? If it was up to Luke every kid in Dade would be at the U... I don't agree with everything he says but at least he's consistent... He criticize Golden as well as Shannon... The best thing for canes fans to do is to know what to expect from Luke... He's an emotional fan...

Despite what is thought Amari Cooper wasnt made a top priority. Despite what was said in the media.(Which i never believed the mom story)...

You think we recruited Coop like we did Stacy Coley??....well BAMA did...believe me they called out the big dogs for that kid...remember their were rumors floating Saban wanted him as a cb..a position the kid never even lined up at.lol

but luke is a REAL CANE FAN...

about 3 years back me and my boy was on south beach in front of Wet Willies i think kicking it and we were talking bout football and the canes...and here comes Luke walking down the beach with a stroller(think he just had a kid) with his wife..and dude just jumps in our convo like we knew each other forever and were talkin bout the canes for like 30 mins till his wife had to tell him to leave...and were two dudes half of Luke's age.

The thing with Luke is atleast u know u will always have the u sold to every top player at MNW....**** bring thm to every single camp and every available visit...that could never hurt as MNW will be loaded with prospects for decades to come.
