He isn’t the most physically gifted kid, but can make all the throws with accuracy and is mechanically sound. I love the way he moves in the pocket with his eyes down Field. Consistently throws from a nice base too. I’d be shocked if this kid isn’t a 3 year starter here. Hopefully we can get up in games so he can play a ton. Looks like our future QB!!!!

Agree. Overall, his measurables are average. But he has elite touch and poise in the pocket. Really impressed with the command he has for a HS QB, and his timing on some higher level route concepts is extremely good. You can just tell he has the mental intangibles to be successful at the P4 level.

Needs some more physical development and a little mechanical fine tuning, but I’d be surprised if he isn’t over starter in 2026.

Most HCs with decent NIL at their disposal would have done the same in using the
portal to acquire a veteran QB.
You don't enter a season with a true frosh as a no.1.
Not even John Elway at Stanford started his college career as a starter.

You guys do this all the time. Hype up an incoming freshman as the next great Miami QB (a lot of folks did it with Emory), then if and/or when said qb doesn't live up to expectations he's a JAG and it's onto hyping up the next high schooler. Can we let the kid get a few spring/summer/fall practices, along with some in game experience under his belt before we crown him? Does he have the potential to be great here? Absolutely! the jury still remains out because all we have is high school highlights, which 99% of recruits look good in their hs highlight reels. For the record, i am not calling him a bust, so you super fans don't get your hole-filled boxers twisted in your a**, i am just saying let things play out.
