LSU pulled Tim Williams' offer

They have three or four defensive ends already committed.

2 pages and everyone still speculating grades when the answer is the 6th post in.

/lock thread

The question is "why did they take 3 other DEs?" Something doesn't add up. It's like, when say, an Ohio State comes down here and thinks they stole a Jamaal Berry and not bother asking why none of the Big 3 wanted him.

Tim Williams says he is likely waiting till signing day at earliest after visits. They are also getting Greg Gilmore tomorrow. LSU was Tim Williams first offer btw I went to tigerdropping and some of posters on their said his offer was not pulled.

I would like to know what really went down. For all we know LSU pushed for him to commit now and he said no so they moved on. It is a coincidence that another kid committed the next day? Now their fans are saying it must be grades. LSU fans said similar things about Briscoe. They told us there was no chance he would qualify and that is not LSU did not offer him. Just seems strange that they recruited the guy all this time and said he was a lock and then out of the blue he now has grade and attitude issues. LOL

Some of yall are looking into this way to much, they pushed him to commit, he said no, their class filled up. End of.

Last I looked he had offers from all the big name programs, including Bama, LSU knows something everyone else doesn't.

Even if half of those offers are BS, he has a bunch of great ones. I am hoping we get this kid. I want him to redshirt though.

that was awful. Not explosive off the snap. Not powerful. Doesn't play 100 mph. Bad angles. He is the last one off the ball every ******* play. PASSSSSSSS

We must be watching a different video. He's not "last off the ball." He may appear slow off the snap but he's reading his keys and finding the football before he attacks instead of just rushing up the field blindly and perhaps taking himself out of the play. He looks plenty powerful to me, he knocked a few blockers over and tossed a couple more to the side. He showed good burst once he found the football and went through and by blockers to get to it. I saw a couple of poor angles but he had the speed and length to make up for it. Obviously he's not a finished product but he has a ton of natural ability and would be more talented than most if not all of Miami's current group on the defensive line.

JAG. Towards the end of the highlight he isn't even making plays. He is "bullrushing" TE's that are like 200 pounds. RB's are falling forward for yards. He uses his hands well, but he is going up against parking cones.

The only Miami play i see is at :38

At 1:10 he essentially stops making plays. How the **** does a Miami player only have 8-10 highlight plays in a season. The play at 1:30 is embarassing..unblocked and the RB falls forward 4 yards. I know a JAG when I see one. There are better players than this in Dade.

You're my boy sub, but c'mon son if there were better players, they would be getting some type of hype.

And even if you truly believe you're analysis, he still would be the 2nd best DL Al Golden has taken since he's been here, and we just so happen to need DL.

Not gonna lie, for a guy that is really undersized for his position this guy has a really slow get off, his 5'8 220 pound non athletic teammates are getting off the ball quicker. I dont really like to go off "highlight" tapes but there werent really any wow plays on this one. Maybe his game tape is better, anybody from LA seen this kid play live? And I dont know if we have anybody better down here but that tape was unimpressive for the amount of time I have heard about this tim williams...

we need talent though, so lets see how this plays out

I agree. I would need to see the gametape, but rarely does an average highlight mean gametape will be better. I have heard about Tim Williams for a year now...I was not impressed.

By better players in Dade, I mean all four classes of players. Maybe 2013 is a down year though. This is my first year not being burried in football 24/7, I haven't even watched a game this year in Dade.

247 has him as the 2nd WDE in the nation.

I did some quick searching of under the radar FL players. Todney Evans IMO isn't THAT off. Who is Todney Evans? Some lanky *** kid with great burst and a decent motor. He isn't fast and can't use his hands, but you can improve those areas.
