LSU lose 3 more to draft

Cunningham has not visited and does not have a official visit scheduled. Tim Williams did not grow up a LSU fan, IIRC he stated he grew up a Miami fan.

I concur with Franchise's thoughts.

I wouldn't be surprised if LSU turned up the heat with Tim Williams in a big way over the next few weeks. They may have a bunch of DE commits, but that won't prevent them recruiting a hometown guy at a position of need.

In the end, it will be a tough pull for this guy to leave his hometown, Baton Rouge. Kinda like many think that ultimately, it will be a tough pull for anyone else to get 6, Kirkland, Coley, Collins and Grace to leave Miami.

OK. You win. LSU wanted him badly, and he rejected them. That's why he's looking to take an official visit there even though he's been there a million times and went to HS basically on their campus.

What the **** does losing some college JRs have to do with recruiting a HS player? Nothing. They are 3-4 classes apart. Losing kids to hardship has nothing do do with what HS players you recruit. Jucos, possibly for a quick fix. But an undersized HS DE as a fix for 2013? No.

I never said he rejected them but has not shown much interest in them. Reuben Foster is taking a official here most likely, how much interest does he have in us? must be a lot according to you and look at the South Florida kids visit here all the time and visit on officials and don't commit.

I'm just saying that Tim is not begging to get an offer from LSU(they were his 1st offer) and that he could commit to them if he wanted to but has not. He could end up LSU but he is not playing the wait until an LSU DE decommits or declares for the draft game.

LSU might not view Williams as an immediate replacement for those guys. That doesn't mean Williams feels the same way. And it also doesn't mean that LSU isn't telling him that, in spite of what they actually believe.

FWIW, these guys have been expected to turn pro for months. Especially the DEs.

I've always been of the opinion that LSU can have Williams any time they want him. And they might want him now that their two DEs are leaving early. Might not be great news for UM.

He goes to school basically on their campus and before they "stopped recruiting him" he was at every home game thanks to LSU so they wanted him the whole time he never had them on top of his list it was always us

You can continue to believe that he dropped LSU. I think it's the exact opposite. LSU put him on the back burner completely.

so why did they allow him at all the home games to start the season off? and why would he still consider them? don't read what national recruiting analyst say look at facts throughout the recruiting process

Why would they let him go to home games? Are you serious? What did it hurt them to allow him to walk across the street and attend games? UM has let a lot of local kids come to our games and then stopped recruiting them. Letting a local kid attend games isn't a big deal.

He's a great player, and they were interested in him. They're probably still somewhat interested in him if they have him scheduled for an official visit. They let their class shape up and kept him on the back burner in case some things didn't come through for them with guys higher on their board. We did the same thing with Cunningham and many others. It happens EVERYWHERE and all the time.

You know what else happens EVERYWHERE and all the time? A local kid that feels the need to get out of town for any number of reasons. The only facts that we have to look at is that LSU offered him, in fact very early and were on him, and his favorite school growing up is Miami. Those are the facts. No where has it been said that LSU cooled on him, or they're slowplaying him. No one knows for sure, but lets not try and pretend that you do. Its ok to have differing opinions...and I respect everyone's.

I believe that he just isnt as interested in them as many other Louisiana kids are.

Actually, it has been said that LSU cooled on him. That "don't pretend you know" rap goes both ways.

By who? the same people that said he had "issues"?

Chise, have you ever considered the possibility that you may be wrong? lol

I'll trust my feelings on this. You guys go ahead and trust trust yours. I'm not going to change my opinion based solely on the fact that there are more guys on the other side of the argument. I've seen nothing compelling to make me change my opinion.

Below is a direct quote from you from another thread on Tim. Seems like you share my opinion in that thread but have a different opinion in this thread. I bolded the part of your quote that is almost exactly what I've said in this thread. LULZ.

They have 5 Defensive End verbal commitments, the last of which was Kendall Beckwith who is highly regarded. They knew at the beginning of the season that there was a high probability that those guys would declare, and even still that didn't turn up the heat on TW. For whatever reason, they feel like there is better out there for their system.

If you say so.

Where in this thread did I say I disagree with you? Thanks

My post was more a general question that didn't necessarily pertain to this thread specifically. You seem to carry this thought around that those that don't follow your line of thinking is an idiot.

Maybe I'm an idiot for getting that vibe.

You agree with me, but you're asking me to admit I'm wrong. Not looking to play these games. Thanks.

Dog...I asked you a question. It wasn't that you were wrong on TW not getting recruited by LSU, because I share those sentiments, you just seem to think you have the market cornered on logic. I've been in multiple threads where I've seen you basically demean or belittle others who have different view on things, but I ain't a dam cop. Carry on. My bad.

No you haven't.

I agree that we should carry on though.
