could this hurt with Williams?

LSU DEs Barkevious Mingo and Sam Montgomery and DT Bennie Logan will all declare for the NFL draft together according to sources.

LSU will have lost Mingo, Montgomery, Logan, Minter, Reid, Simon, Mathieu, Wingo, Ware

I've always been of the opinion that LSU can have Williams any time they want him. And they might want him now that their two DEs are leaving early. Might not be great news for UM.

crazy thing is with ll of those guys they will still be fine except for maybe minter they are loaded which is what we can only hope to be like

Were any of those DEs leaving early not expected by LSU's staff weeks ago?

If Tim wanted to go to LSU he could have, even the people at tigerdroopping admit that Tim wants to leave the state. Its not like he has been waiting for LSU to lose Mingo and all those other kids. They were his 1st offer not kid begging for the LSU offer.

They recruited 5 DE's with an eye towards the DE's leaving. Beckwith pretty much sealed Williams to UM.

He goes to school basically on their campus and before they "stopped recruiting him" he was at every home game thanks to LSU so they wanted him the whole time he never had them on top of his list it was always us

I don't know LSU' staff, so I don't know if the departures were expected. But I wouldn't be shocked if they were trying to get them to stay another year.

You can continue to believe that he dropped LSU. I think it's the exact opposite. LSU put him on the back burner completely.

so why did they allow him at all the home games to start the season off? and why would he still consider them? don't read what national recruiting analyst say look at facts throughout the recruiting process

He is visiting LSU on an official. Beckwith was suppose to commit to LSU. It would of been shocking if Beckwith committed to Bama. He just does not have as much interest in LSU as other Louisiana kids.

Everyone knew Montgomery(sp?) and Mingo were leaving. Next year SC will expect Clowney to leave.

Isn't it most likely that this is one of those Lamarcus Joyner/Amari Cooper situations where the local school just knows right off the bat that the kid wants/needs to leave the state? Seems to make the most sense to me, it doesn't just happen to us. LSU would love him, but considering his intentions it isn't really worth it to push too hard, just have to hope the kid changes his mind about Louisiana. Which he won't. Kid might be an LSU fan who simply chooses not to play there (like Joyner with us).

Why would they let him go to home games? Are you serious? What did it hurt them to allow him to walk across the street and attend games? UM has let a lot of local kids come to our games and then stopped recruiting them. Letting a local kid attend games isn't a big deal.

He's a great player, and they were interested in him. They're probably still somewhat interested in him if they have him scheduled for an official visit. They let their class shape up and kept him on the back burner in case some things didn't come through for them with guys higher on their board. We did the same thing with Cunningham and many others. It happens EVERYWHERE and all the time.

Why's it so hard to believe that he might not be a top target on LSU's board despite being very attractive to some other programs? Happens all the time.

As for Amari Cooper, he was a Canes fan and would have attended UM if Al didn't give him an ultimatum to accept his offer immediately. Cooper got turned off to that, and he went to Bama instead. That's from someone who was there. Believe it or don't believe it. It's up to you.
