LSU affect on Canes Recruiting?

No matter who they hire he'll be a great coach driving a Ferrari. Now I think they still win 10/11 games so idk he may stay

The bidding war between LSU and Texas for Tom Herman will be crazy
LSU has a ton of financial issues within the State... I don't think they're going to go anything higher than 5-6 million.
Texas has Boosters with deep pockets & an unlimited war chest, they'll give Herman upwards of $6.5-7.5million a year to get him from Houston.

Just land Smith(WR) as he looks as smooth as Richards. I'll also take another DT or OT from that state if they have a good one.

Lsu friend said deal didn't go through with jimbo because of money . They say they're stuck with les for another two years unless a booster forks it over .

Now in answer to the poster's question. Pat Surtain the number one CB in the class of 18 is cb'ed to LSU. He's local and the staff is all over him. Any thing going wrong with that program can't hurt.

Very little effect, imo. Sure, they can lose a recruit or 2, but they'll still reel in the big guns.

We are recruiting OT Adrian Ealy really hard. It's basically between us and Oklahoma currently. He's 6'7" 300 or so with good feet

LSU's, or more specifically the state's financial issues, have nothing to do with the amount of money they'll spend on a college football coach. The universities themselves pay very little of the salaries the top coaches are making. That's where boosters and such take over to drive prices sky high.

Unless you're part of a very small circle at either school, the rest is just pure speculation based on nothing.

The general consensus is that they'll get Jimbo to go over there, and I think it'd happen as well. The real question at that point would be to watch who goes over to FSU and what recruits we're in the running for that we're competing with FSU for.

That would be interesting to watch. If Les is fired Jimbo will be there guy. As far as FSU idk. Briles would fit in with corruption in Tally

I'm not sure about their current commits, but their terrible offense showing has to pretty much eliminate them from the Devonta Smith running. It already seemed like he added them to his top three out of respect, but after showing that nothing has changed with their offense it has to truly be down to us and Bama.

I know it's early, but LSU will lose some more games and Les Miles will probably be fired, "this time". I know if they make a splash hire, if Miles is fired, that could change things as well. Who are the current LSU commits we currently recruiting, guys we competing against them for and who do we turn up the heat on?

Are you ever going to learn?...They may fire Miles but the SEC bagmen aren't going anywhere. It's still going to be tough recruiting against those guys no matter who their coach is.

Their recruiting might even get better if they have a real coach, which is hard to imagine

Except the notion that these guys are automatically replaced with "real" coaches just because they're in the mighty SEC is a flawed one at best. Remember the names UiF was tossing around before they hired McEltoof? USCe obviously couldn't get anyone either. Even mighty Texas, the supposed behemoth of the Big 12, hired the guy that was way down on their list of marquee names. And what "up and comers" are left? Herman ain't going there and the Fuentes types were all hired away prior to this year. I dunno. Miles is on pace to absolutely get justifiably canned but the assumption that they actually replace him with anyone capable let alone a big name is questionable at best. I actually think the ACC has done a better job hiring coaches recently.
