One large difference in Pete vs Mike: I've never seen Pete suppress posters' thoughts or analysis. Remember "thanx for the analysis?" That attitude was the downfall of CT.

The quality posters on both the premium and free recruiting boards decided to leave. They came here. They're still here. I don't see any Canes forum with the value offering we've produced. But, if you have any suggestions, we're open to improvements.

Is there anyway to put a Venmo or Apple Pay button next to the replies? The difficulties of 5X getting to a Western Union to send money is untoward.

bringing back user rep would be nice addition. Although i'm not sure it's pro/con in terms of functionality of the board

It's like someone who goes to a restaurant and doesn't think his meal tastes like it used to, except imagine that person standing up in the middle of that restaurant and telling everyone rather than just going to a different restaurant.

Pete has done an excellent job over the years. Built him a respectable rep. Gotta give him credit. I do think with Richt running the show things are a little bit more difficult for him. Not as many leaks as years past
 
Personally, I would like to thank Pete, other Mods and informed Posters who bring a tremendous amount of value to this board. I know for a fact that I personally have saved hundreds of dollars over the years by not having to join paysites for the same information (usually later and more inaccurate).

I think a lot of posters had become so accustomed to the drama era of recruiting with weak coaches like Al Golden and Randy Shannon.l Also from a time when kids/coaches/parents didn't really know how to handle the rise of the reporters on these sites from every school calling their kids daily for updates (in some cases even more than the college coaches). Now everyone knows the deal with the hype and coverage that recruiting gets year-round because of $$ made from reporting on it. And with a very solid staff we have relatively drama free cycles loaded with studs. Because our kids are commited or the the uncommited kids are keeping a low profile that they think "pete is slowing down" or whatever other stuff these post are about.

I'm sure if our remaining targets were the type who wanted to do interviews every other day then Pete would have the information. But 90% of the class is signed and about 70% is already enrolled...aint nothing to report.

Do you think we stay in the top 10 after next month? Many schools behind us will be adding multiple big time kids. Remember...we had the number 1 class for a good portion of the year...then 3 now 6 then????

We have some fools and some of us at like fools sometimes but this site has been fantastic in my experience. There a several very knowledgeable posters and many solid opinions. Once I found this site, I stopped going to any others, including the ""professional sports news" like the Herald. Even our gator and noles fans pretending to me Canes are better than the one on other sites.
 
I was a Grassyite, then Canestimer, then came here.

I think MOST of us come on the site for (a) info, (b) banter/ discussion with other Canes fans about our team.

This site is excellent. My only gripe is , unfortunately, what happens on all sites eventually- posters ripping other posters mercilessly with sophomoric, idiotic put downs. Most guys who say petty and disrespectful things would NEVER say those things face to face.

I like when the threads contain actual football talk and discussions on strategy, recruits, coaching ,etc.

I hate it when the posts and comments devolve into kindergarten insults.

My only suggestion is to have the moderators perhaps moderate more, ie, shut down a post or poster when it becomes silly.

I can assure you I still have my plugs and resources. I’ve always taken a hard stance against click-bait type articles — I refuse to do it.

The great thing about this site is it’s the best supplement to everything else out there. I try to weed out all of the bad info for you and deliver the real of what’s going on.

I also think a lot of people should listen to the podcast because there’s tons of info in there that I convey that might not be on here/there are a lot of things explained in greater detail. I see people asking questions daily on here that have already been discussed at length on the podcast.

It’s also important for you guys to realize how I need to work my sources in certain situations. I’ve seen a lot of people lose their connections because they’re overbearing or annoying, asking them about every little thing.

When I post, I want it to be worth something. If there’s anything of substance you need to know, it will be here.

I enjoy this site for what it provides in insight and info and yeah, sometimes something you report on is true on Monday and changes by Friday. Happens to all the “insiders.”

But, there are times where you scoff at some questions, like when people wondered how solid Jobe was, and leave us without the background (“Jobe is calling me tonight”, then nothing). That’s the information I’d prefer on a regular basis on top of what you already do, but I’m just one poster.

Pete just tells us what he hears. It's up to you as a man to use your own brain and see if what he's hearing and reporting makes sense. You guys act like what he's reporting is science. If you need concrete answers to everything go post on MathemicsInsight.com.

Pete's done nothing but provide a great place for us to go nuts and ride the waves. And he's done an incredible job for a young guy of resisting the urge to tell many of you guys to eat his ***.
