The guys that were left in the bullpen gave up 5 runs in relief of Van Belle.
With a 2-run lead.
Your criticism is hollow.
Agree but just saying why let it get to that point.

Van Belle, whose thrown very few walks this season, walks 3 or 4 guys in the 4th and hits another. Gino doesn't pull him out, he lets him stay in there to give up 3 runs. Then Gino sends him back out for the next inning.
That was indeed dumb
I don't think its delusional to expect less blunders and incompetent management at times.
Its one thing if we are playing a squad that runs us out of the stadium on sheer talent game after game...but that's not happening. We spent a Saturday in Louisville making a blow out game a lot closer on delay, and then blowing a 6-0 lead in the next.
I'm not going to bow down to the #5 squad after they honestly gave us an opportunity to sweep them on their turf, we just didn't take it. Not saying they are not a great squad, just saying we could be MUCH better than we are...that is the truly painful part. The scary part is thinking how these kids getting older might not fix our major issues such as fundamentals and coaching....

This was the turning point. Van Belle walked in two runs and hit another kid. Gotta have someone warning and go get him before all that happens IMO. Somewhere along the line you have to start trusting some other kids.
That's where the criticism comes from. Get someone up when the current hurler is clearly laboring.

I know you're complaining just to complain, but its still just dumb.
Who?
You put Federman in during the 3rd inning? Cook or Gates (yeah that would be great)?
Because you're not pitching anyone who threw in Game 2 today, that would be coaching malpractice.
And they hit Federman anyways.
There wasnt a right move with the pitching today. Everyone wants to blame the coach, when Louisville just hit all of our best arms
Here’s the deal, bud. Stop making new accounts or I’ll clean you out like spam. You won’t even get to read posts. It's complete nonsense.
They basically lost two starters this weekend and still almost won the series. The pitching plan was actually good and they got almost exactly what they wanted in game 3.
They had both Federman and Veliz available for long outings with the lead in the 6th inning.
But since they didn't close it out people think the coaching/managing sucked.
We even have moderators spouting this nonsense.

Not very upset at the results of this weekend considering the circumstances and an 8 game homestand coming up.
Sitting at 15 in RPI puts us right in the mix for hosting.
What do you mean "we" This is not the Gator board. Not unless we move up in the ACC standings.
