Louisville to the ACC

No thank you to that. It might sound good to play all those teams but think about that line up: Oklahoma
Oklahoma St
Texas
Kansas St
TCU
Texas Tech
West Virgina
FSU
Clemson
Baylor
NC State
Kansas
Iowa St

Man it would be tuff trying to navigate that every year no matter what 8 teams we played. Esp with all of them having the scary ability to score alot.

Lemme axe the anti-Ville to the ACC crowd a question: Does Louisville Football gain any benefit from joining the ACC??

I believe they do. UL was able to hire John L. Smith but not keep him. He bolted for a mid level BCS skool (Mich. State). They were able to land Bobby Petrino but he too bolted for a mid level BCS school (Arkansas). They were able to land Steve Kraigthorpe when he was the hottest commodity in CFB coaching. (side note - Im still not sure why Kraigthorpe wasnt successful at UL). Im of the opinion that UL will become an elite ACC football program within a decade, assuming the whole musical chairs conference realignment thing settles down.

I can't see 4 - 16 team conferences being it. That's only 64 teams and it includes teams like Indiana, Washington St, and Kansas. 5 - 16 team conferences playing for 4 spots would make more sense. And the ACC might be #5 now, but Miami and FSU getting back to where they should be would quickly fix that.

Petrino left UL for the Atlanta Falcons.

With that said, neither Michigan State or Arkansas are "mid-level" BCS schools. Louisville itself is a mid-level BCS school.
