Louisville & Russell Athletic Bowl Post Game Plus/Minus

When the season started, the ncaa crapathon and the looming Florida game was all I could see. Both looked bad for awhile. But we beat the Gators. Destroyed their season pretty much. This is the game I will look back on and thank this year's seniors for. Then the ncaa finally decided to get off the can and go mess up somebody else's program and we "got off" with "a slap on the wrist". Finally free to recruit with both hands. Those are the positives. The negatives are pretty obvious.

* Offensive line looked horrible. Linder's stock had to drop. Often looks like an average athlete out there. Flowers settled down after a while but overall it looked like he had discovered the Marcus Dupree Bowl Game Diet and put on a ton of weight since the end of the season. Sloppy frame. He tried some cut blocks and whiffed completely, falling flat on his face. His preseason evaluation will not be as high as many expect it to be.

Excellent observation. Kid had cinder blocks for feet last night.

Beating the Gaturds was the only goal met, and everything else was missed horribly!

I thought the defense came out well, i liked what we did, but there's only so long smoke an mirrors can hold up. I STILL don't like James Coley's play calling... 4th and one and we're running a slow developing run play to the boundary where everyone on their defense just happens to be standing.. our offense misses jedd fisch terribly.

All in all, this is what i expected for this season W/L wise.. was hoping we'd close out stronger, but i'm still on the Golden bandwagon.. our senior class isn't great, our junior class was put together in a month and our really talented guys are sophomores and freshman right now..
