Louisiana WR Racey McMath

Man what worries me about this staff is that they seem to be okay with going after all these **** 3stars. You can't build a playoff roster doing that. You can have some but not more than 50% of the class being made up of 3stars. Richt didn't do that at uga so why is it happening here?

Because we've been ******* awful for a decade, where have you been? I want all the 4/5* kids too, but it may take another day or two to convince them Miami is a good idea.

I'll worry more about the development aspect with the staff as opposed to going with kids that are not Miami caliber. I also don't trust these star evaluations either. These are done by guys who usually don't even know how to catch a football, let alone how to properly evaluate how good of a football player someone is.

Once again, KILL THIS NARRATIVE.

Rankings matter. We know people can scramble to find exceptions, but on the whole, they matter a lot. Now just hold the staff accountable for better recruiting if it's an issue.

I think this class has been a little dissapointing but I won't make too much of one class. 2016 was great (thanks to last staff) and 2018 will be more telling.

Does Pete or anyone else have info on this? I wouldn't mind taking him and keep that Louisiana connection.

I'll let you look that **** up. I'm just saying we've had high-ranked kids come through and not produce. Give me someone that has talent and tools to succeed. It's obvious that we're not going to land any of the plan A kids that we aimed for this cycle - Holloman and Jeudy. Smith looks like he's going to Bama, so what do you want? You guys act like a kid has to be a 5-star or a high 4-star to succeed. ****, Langham was a 4-star ESPN 300 recruit coming out of school and what has he done here? Guess we should just say ***** it and ride with the thin depth that we have at the position and bank on no one getting injured.

Development is a more important aspect here. But continue to be in your feelings.

Kid tore up lsu camp over the summer, has a great frame, been timed at 4.4.

I don't know in 16 Richards was a richt get wasn't coming here with golden, mullins was a richt get, there are others also, like the dt kid we landed and the ot they got, they did a good job keeping class together but malek young was a richt get also and he was starting at end of year. yes he kept pickney, quarterman and mcloud but not all the top players were already commited,

this class isnt' bad, we don't need as many wr's as people think although u would like 4, they are loading up on db's they landed Donaldson and are working hard or 2 others if they land the 2 linemen after 17 will be good class. top 10 maybe by end of it. richt had like 1 class not top 10 when at Georgia so I expect the same here.

the one thing I will say is there are so many db's in south florida that it is hard to separate them sometimes and so they end up 3 stars when should be 4 or 5 if played in another state would be a 4 or 5 star.

You seem to have missed the last fortnight where they went balls-to-the-wall for Holloman, Jeudy and Smith.

We HAVE to pick up another competent WR in this cycle - the depth chart is atrocious. The staff are on the case.

HAHAHAHA

If the last staff was still here most of those kids wouldn't have signed with Miami.

I'm not acting like anything. I was merely pointing out that there are always people who argue that the star rankings are BS. The truth is that you're right, there are often kids who don't have the best talent, but do well with the best work ethic. I have no problem with that, and every good class has those guys, but there is a VERY strong correlation between percentage of team that's blue chip and team success. We've got the talent for 10 wins, maybe 11 but if we want to go undefeated and especially if we want to be dominant every year we need better recruits.

UGA didn't have to overcome a decade worth of Onion, Gorlden, and Shalala.
shalala that hooker

All that matters is if the kids can play.

I don't particularly care how many stars they have. If we have coaches who are good talent evaluators, that's all that matters.

Coach Butch filled the roster with those numbers and put together the greatest college team of all time. **** star ratings and give me the kid who wants it more.
